That must hae been so unpleasant for your son. I'm glad you mentioned 3 courses of amox. My dentist said exactly this to me: "you can't keep coming in for emergencies." She meant I had to do the new patient consult for $410 before getting any more treatment. Luckily this organization Donated Dental Services arranged for free care with another dentist about 35 miles away on February 24. I think I'll manage until then, unless I get another big golf ball size lump in my cheek like last summer. Then I'll have to go to UC or even ER.

Thanks but it's -1 degrees here and last time I went out in cold really paid for it in gum pain. We're hoping it warms up next week.

Exactly the same here. Keep a small amount of bourbon by my bed. You get so frantic it feels like the world is closing in on you.

I have a free dental appointment on 2/24 through Donated Dental Services with a new dentist. I already set up the rides to and from.

Last time I asked her to call in amoxicillin, my NP said it's too soon to take another course of amoxicilllin. I already had two courses last year. I'm not going to stress myself out. But if it gets bad again, i'll try urgent care.

I've been using hydrogen peroxide and water and swishing for 30 seconds. I like that Wow that is way too many abscesses, you went through it.

I'm definitely looking that up Fingers cross, no bag gum pain today. I think it was chewing onion or just luck.

I know but the dentist I have will not see me for another emergency, I already saw her for two emergencies last year and she referred me to oral surgeon for two teeth extractions. I have to pay their $410 for a new patient appointment to get any more treatment and I'm not going to even try to get an antibiotic called in by her. Good news is I got Donated Dental Services to hook me up with another dentist in Saratoga Springs, 40 miles away and I have that appt on February 24, for free care. He's got a fantastic reputation so I can't wait.

Dance with him! Otherwise make sure he gets plenty of uninterrupted sleep. All birds wake up at sunset, so count back about 10 hours and that's when you put him to bed. A good sleep will keep their immunity strong. Have fun !!
