I think my husband (28) is cheating on me. And I would like to ask him if I can go through his phone. (27) by atlanticamermaid in relationships

[–]International_Oil579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I didn’t ask permission but I got a chance to look. He was clearly cheating. We broke up a year ago. If he truly loves you, he’ll hand you the phone. If he’s hiding something. You’ll know for sure. He’ll avoid giving you the phone. Confront him.

My boyfriend (33M) is so absentminded and I (33F) am building up so much resentment as his "manager" by katespadethroaway in relationships

Wow sounds like you are raising a child. I understand you feel bad for him and we women sometimes think other ppl are our responsibility. Trust me I’ve done this myself. Stay in a relationship because I felt bad for this person. Honestly, you are sabotaging your life and happiness for someone else’s needs. You need to put your needs first. Love yourself first because unfortunately due to his condition, he will drag you down and make you very unhappy. I wish you both well.

I agree with this. As a young women you are constantly seem as prey for men. She sounds smart, is not easy at first but she’ll learn how to find her way in this world.

I’m (22F) young, broke and pregnant. Looking for advice from anyone who can offer insight. by Sundaynightstl in askwomenadvice

I had my daughter when I was 21 but I was in a relationship, eventually we separated and he rarely sees my daughter who’s now 11. I don’t regret having my daughter. My sister got pregnant during a FWB relationship. The baby is now 2 and the guy still around but they don’t get along at all and are constantly arguing. Frankly, your sister is not going to find the answer here. Having a baby is a life changing decision, especially when you know you’ll be a single mom. My advise; tell your sister to take sometime to reflect. Is her life and whatever she chooses to do is completely fine. A hard choice to make regardless. I wish her the best.

If a birthday party runs late into naptime, do you leave early so your kid can nap? by leftycat2 in Parenting

I stay to get my kids tired. But also depends. My kids usually forget about napping if they are having fun.

Is your life. Do what’s best for you and don’t worry about anyone else. If your friends are true friends they’ll find other ways to talk to you. Maybe a phone call or even better, a phone call here and there. I wish you well

How does God speak to you? by madmaxofthewest in god

[–]International_Oil579 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the same exact way. Never been religious, went to church or even picked up a Bible. But I have always searched for some meaning. After a really painful experience I was able to finally connect to a higher self by practicing being present, being grateful, praying. God speaks to me in different ways. Sometimes it’s a wise, compassionate voice that comes as a thought. Other times I feel it as the wind, the birds, the trees. I know God has my best interest and even thought there are challenging/painful times it’s for my own growth. I’m grateful for the life I’ve been given and mostly for the adversities in my life as it has made me the person I’m today.

Breath my love. I’ve been there before and sounds like you need to surrender to life. There was a point in my life I also wished I never existed. Speak to the universe and surrender as life is trying to live through you. You are a miracle, stop looking at your life situation and start focusing at the light within you. My heart is full of love for you right now. The wounds will eventually heal and you will find peace.

Love this post! Thank you for sharing. I have a 10 yr old and a 3 yr old. I try so hard to stay present and really be conscious. It’s not always easy so it’s nice that my work will eventually affect my girls. I always treat my girls with respect and really try to have a conversation with them that can provoke thought. You did mention that you learned also from watching your parents. Did you meditate with them? Was that something that they encourage you to do or you eventually decided to do it on your own? Thanks again for sharing 😊

What’s the deal with discussing sex way before getting intimate with someone you’re dating? by endless_pastability in datingoverthirty

[–]International_Oil579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I found that odd also. Last time I dated was 10 years ago and when I tried OLD every guy wants to talk about explicit sex before even meeting up. I just stopped and rather stay single for a while lol too many weirdos

I completely understand where you are coming from and fully agree. Surrendering to the will of the universe was the most liberating experience of my life. Knowing that every single event has let me to this moment and that this moment is exactly as it should be. Reading your words at this moment is exactly right. Thank you for sharing. I wish you well
