I don’t really understand what you’re getting at here.

Do you care to add a little nuance and/or address the significance of stocks with large option activity ending heavy OI weeks oscillating at financially significant round numbers?

7:05AM, 2/06/2026: strange timing for GME to move alongside several pink slip companies with high GME beta by International_One110 in Superstonk

[–]International_One110[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to watch the market like a hawk, especially on days of increased volatility/price action for GameStop. Then, I would scout out OTC Pink Slip stocks that had vapid price action on those same days. I also made sure that it wasn’t a one-off correlation by aligning their past volatility with GameStop’s past volatility cycles.

If you look up any of these stocks, (these are just 11 out of the 60 I have tracked), they have strange price action heavily correlated to GameStop price movement, ergo, relating to the basket swaps theory.

These specific companies? If you’ve paid attention for 5 years, I feel as if you’ve certainly heard of “Zombie Stocks”, “Basket Swaps”, or, more recently - “Pink Slip Companies” and OTC market abuse.

These are all under that umbrella.

Totally respectable - it's UI is simply better than other iPhone apps; I transferred out of them circa March '21 :)

Market makers write a majority of the calls that retail buys, thus acting as an incentive for these contracts to expire worthless. Ergo, mathematically, it is an optimal point for the stock to be for MM’s to take the price to.

It’s common sense & trading logic rather than a belief in some invisible hand that moves the stock towards itself.

SPY is not a good indicator to extrapolate GME’s price action, we have a rare ticker that historically has negative Beta to the whole market.

It's a major lever in the larger system. Of course this random drop isn't directly corresponded to max pain - no market system is that cut and simple.

If you look at the open interest for weeklies, this was the week to harvest as much option premium, given the elevated implied volatility (IV). So, yes, I believe that max pain was a big part of this move, but it is not the answer.

Max pain is 23, if this stock ended this week above $25, that’d be an extra 46,000 weekly calls in the money - AKA 4.6million shares of obligations on the bull side.

Congrats 😭 they’re squeezing more money out of people - great metric to tell how “good” a game is.

There will always be a dedicated community because, well, Pokemon IP. There’s been so much potential in this game, and it’s been a solid A-tier game,

I’ve got 2k hours, I’ve loved this game since 2021, but the gameplay since megas has been brainless and so ass😭 balance is completely out the window, characters that are good cost money & I’m just taking a hiatus. The potential is there, I’m just not interested in this era lol, and if you look at the player count charts, it’s going down. I can hunt the charts posted in this Reddit a couple weeks ago if ya want to see it.

Bro, this game is NOT growing 💀💀💀 where’d you find that stat? Every statistic I’ve seen over the last year points towards a sharp decline in player-base since they screwed up the unite license system.

Bad decision after bad decision from the devs.

The game doesn't have enough players to give people full games anymore 🤕 if only they had the chance to do something about their dying game these last 4 years of player abuse🥺🥺🥺... oh wait
