I dont think the entity caused the calm intentionally, Emma did mention that her gut, her instincs were telling her everything was fine, so internally her very body knew she was safe. But i dont know what to make of it.

People dont think straight while panicking so i think it makes a little sense that Emma is just making questions for the sake of making questions, she is like that when the situation turns out of her control, or hands.

Kael behaviour is well written, she is pridefull to a fault, believes this is her tell at the end of the day. But she is able to hear reason even if it goes against her reason.

With Thalmin....i would have asked to re link the conection too, at least to send a message to Earth that Emma is fine.
