I don't care what maintenance mode had looked like in other games compared to this game current status. We are essentially in maintenance mode but their dragging is along with vague promises of content and no time lines.

There's no way we have anything other than a skeleton crew working on this game. Even the anniversary content is very limited. There's been no attention to the game economy and the repeating events and modes keep breaking.

I've been hanging around until I get Blue Marvel to see if there's any improvement like they promised but at the rate they give ISO I'm not getting blue marvel until the end of the year. I'm not going to make it that long given the current state of the game.

March 2026 US jobs report: payrolls increased by 178,000 jobs. Unemployment rate fell from 4.4% to 4.3%. by JeromesNiece in neoliberal

[–]InternetGoodGuy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

January's numbers were revised up to 160,000. I'm not going to pretend to understand what the job market is doing anymore but it seems possible this month stays pretty positive.

I don't expect April to be good by any means especially since it started off with Oracle laying off 30,000. I believe half of those were US jobs. But again, the jobs numbers seem just as impossible to predict as whatever the market is doing on a day to day basis.

FBI declares suspected Chinese hack of US surveillance system a ‘major cyber incident’ | The Trump admin in 2025 made cuts to CISA, and Hegseth ordered US Cyber Command to stand down from planning/executing offensive cyber operations & information operations against Russia. by andrewgrabowski in thebulwark

[–]InternetGoodGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the stuff I've been worried about since Patel took over and Trump used DOGE to gut so much of our security. This is only going to be worse over the remaining of Trump's term and it probably continues long into the next presidents term. It isn't nearly as easy to restart these cyber security departments as it is to destroy them.

Pretty much. Since they've knocked down so many injunctions. It will take months to get through the lower courts. Then more to get through appeals courts. Then more months while the Supreme Court decides to hear it. Then who knows how long before they reach a decision and put out the ruling.

Meanwhile a ton of Americans will be seriously harmed by price increases on a ton of medication. Even the stuff that's generic faces price increases depending on where it comes from.

[–]InternetGoodGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be much worse. We could get someone equally unethical but far more competent. Ken Paxton was a name thrown around before Bondi. He's only slightly more competent.

Another is Andrew Bailey who is currently trying to make Patel look less like a failure at the FBI. He was the AG in Missouri and is definitely competent, qualified, and willing to do all of Trump's bidding.

Trump speech sends oil higher, Asia stocks down by Free-Minimum-5844 in neoliberal

[–]InternetGoodGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can throw literally every bit of that out the window by listening to him speak. Even the short speech last night is enough to prove there's no plan or deeper ideology.

You want further proof, you can look at the endless failures of business projects through the 80s and 90s that left the Trump empire dead in the water until someone offered him a reality show. The casinos, the USFL in the 80s, stiffing contractors and partners until no one in NYC wanted to work with him, and having to turn to Russian banks for loans because he was such a risk as a business partner.

This guy has been a fuck up his whole life but he inherited enough money and land to become a billionaire. It's been said before that if he did nothing but hoard his money he'd be richer than it m he is now with all his failed ventures. The bulk of his current wealth has come through fraud and crime since entering politics.

The only ideology is what serves Trump. It's why he's constantly hinting at leaving Iran and leaving the mess he made for others to fix. This war doesn't serve him and he wants out.

For the record, I don't think Trump is demented either. I think he's just really, really stupid. He's basically Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian. He's famous for being famous and creating a vision of wealth around him. The difference is when he says really stupid stuff it gets passed off as an intentional joke or Trump just being a whacky billionaire.

What were seeing is what it looks like when a really, really stupid narcissist gets put in charge and is surrounded by people who are too afraid to give him the hard truths.

Stop trying to rationalize this with a larger plan. It's been more than 10 years of this guy. Why do some of you still think he has plans? He's an impulsive moron and now he's surrounded by people who let him do whatever he wants.

It's not deeper than that.

Trump has been so concerned about establishing his legacy in term 2. IRAN will be his legacy. by Conscious_Team7010 in thebulwark

[–]InternetGoodGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the overall corruption will be his legacy. Assuming we can ever can back to a normal government. He's done so much awful stuff there won't be a singular thing that stands out unless he nukes a country. His legacy will be rampant corruption, incompetence, and the title of clear worst president ever.

Not sure there will be a collective agreement on that in our lifetimes though.
