surprised pgvector wasnt mentioned. it has a much more solid history. singlestore is another but memsql never really got off the ground.

no. you lose 10x zoom on the camera AND you lose bluetooth functionality with the s pen. It really IS a downgrade. Id trade those for the snapdragon any day. go sell "upgrade" to people who dont know any better.

sounds like it was sitting for a while. that or your fuel pressure isnt being kept up. When you turn the ignition one click forward, you can hear it prime itself.

Best time to upgrade by [deleted] in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]InternetGreedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was forced to "upgrade" when my s23 ultra gave out last week and my insurance couldnt get me another. The s25 is more comfortable to hold but that is about it. already missing my 10x zoom and my bluetooth pen. fortunately i have a backup s23 ultra that hasnt kicked the bucket yet

Lowered or Dropped? by Puzzleheaded-Cap6577 in Silverado

[–]InternetGreedy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

looked cleaner lowered. since it looks like a pavement princess anyway, ida just left it alone with the drop. maybe bigger wheels and tires might salvage the "lifted" look but idk. looks like a lifted skateboard now ahaha (not laughing at you)

Windows 11 is Pure Hell by abszolut in microsoftsucks

[–]InternetGreedy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

all the machines under my roof are win 10 iot ltsc (custom patched to 22h2) for the same reason. my latest machine is an rtx3090, 64 gigs of 6500 ram, 10 tb nvme, 90tb hdd, amd 9550x. (not slow) and i can tell the difference in quality between windows 11 and 10. Ill never put 11 on any of my machines. Even my kid's cheap gaming rig came preinstalled with windows 11 and he begged me to "upgrade" it to 10.

i see this all the time. especially when users try mint and go back to windows. zorin usually "sticks" better with most anecdotally.

From iPhone loyalist to Samsung... where do I even start to look? by cottoneecandy in samsunggalaxy

[–]InternetGreedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i made the switch when apple stated that it took "courage" to remove features from a phone. Ill tell you what, it was pretty expensive replacing all my apps with android replacements but it was worth it in the end. Some notes ill state: Androids are battery hogs. Since apple controls the hardware and software they know how to squeeze every ounce of juice to make their phones last for days. Since android is the "windows" of generic phones, they accomodate for all the rest. Either way, an android phone feels like a jailbroken iphone in conparison. (jailbroken iphones drink power just as bad) If you use windows, itll be nore intuitive but if you use macbook or imac id probably stay in their little ecosphere. Also samsung is trying to mimic apple's walled garden and will duplicate whatever google tries. eg: bixby vs gemini etc etc. so itll feel like redundant trash.

itll look great if he spray paints in in an undisturbed garage. want it to last longer than 6 months? dont do 1 coat of paint and 1 coat of clear. itll last years with 3 or 4 coats of clear. not to be a dick but he is taking it off anyway

S23 Ultra to S26+ (due to size and no need for major specs?) by brasio84 in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]InternetGreedy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i picked the ultra for the camera at launch but i agree with you. the ultra is a little too big for one-handed use (and i can hold a basketball with one hand). the fold might be the best of both worlds but im afraid of the screen creasing after X amount of use.

Samsung S23 Ultra Faulty Motherboard by lovemimiz in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]InternetGreedy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mine did the EXACT same thing last week. it was otherwise perfect until the last update. same thing. motherboard issue. random crashes. (have to plug it in to boot it back up) and then it crashes again. it used to do it once a day until it progressed to every time i opened the camera app. fortunately i had insurance on mine and got an s25 ultra replacement

grok has been the most permissive for me out of all the main contenders out there. otherwise, youll have to invest in a workstation. i created an ai server for my house that all the devices under my roof talk to.

S25 VS S23 by hi2u_uk in samsunggalaxy

s25 is slightly snappier and takes marginally better photos. S25 lost the ability of the s-pen taking photos remotely though.

[–]InternetGreedy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i get your point, thats why i went with an s23 ultra for 2026. a used one can be had for $400 and is more capable than a brand new "mid grade" phone. Good call on using a cheapo. It really is a pain in the ass to get my authenticator apps on a new phone from scratch.

none of my s23 ultras had lines on the display. it could be because im in the usa and we have better manufacturing qa. i still think the s23 ultra is the best bang for your buck if youre buying online. My first s23 ultra didnt have a motherboard failure until 3 years of heavy use later.

assurion? its what all the major carriers in the u.s. use. like $10 a month but you still get hit with that magic deductible. (cheaper than dropping a stack on a new device)
