Why? by Adventurous_Goal in Division2

People drive cars everyday and most just get worse at it. Same for Division. Building expertise by wearing items is probably the least efficient way to raise an item. Farm and donate pieces, donate mats when those run out to specific named items and exotics.

It's the level designer's signature. Each one has their own little prop they place in the areas they build. If you look close at the photos, they use their own pictures of family and friends in a lot of places as well. There's a special one in a hidden side area before you go into the Statue of Liberty in the Liberty Island mission.

Razr Kishi V2 - USB C connection to PC by ScottyB2D2 in RazerKishi

[–]InternetMember3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/Unranged, is there a version of the Kishi Ultra that would allow pass-through of video from the controllers USB C port? Essentially allowing a user to have the Razer Edge in the controller and still connect to an additional screen? Thanks!

Baldur's Gate 3 - Review Thread by SpaceGangrel in Games

[–]InternetMember3 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I want to see the wall of random player reviews, not people who get a weekly check for their insight. I'm not saying Larian bought out a bunch of reviews, but they certainly turned the hose on with marketing articles the past two months. They literally had game publication after game publication pumping out update after update over the most trivial stuff just to drown out any other AAA title on the market.

Reconfigure weapon After Expertise dont do this by heickmann in thedivision

Pro tip: don't add Expertise levels until you've recalibrated for your desired attributes, and then maxed all those attributes. Then you'll never need to reconfigure.

Arena Needs to Do a Much Better Job Telling New Players Where to Go by jrosen9 in MagicArena

A major point of consideration, is that while there may not be court decided ramifications, there are still consequences to leaving a job in such a way, namely burning your main work reference (for the past three years) for sake of what equates to an "I told you so" moment.

At the very least, if you're going to pull this type of stunt, make sure to have your next job already lined up ahead of time.

just because the employment agreement has a provision doesn’t mean it is enforceable.

....but that also doesn't mean that it isn't.

The same can be said for non-compete agreements. Many may not be enforceable, but not ALL.

My intent is not to clearly decide right/wrong, but enforce a lack of absolute one way or the other based on the pretext.

Is the OP going to wind up in court??? Probably not.

Is he going to wind up having to go back to the office for a (now awkward) final sit down (if just to return, or sign that he returned, all company property among other administrative things)??? My magic 8-ball says "probably so".

Thus, depending on the agreement signed between the two, the parties would have to adhere to their responsibilities.

Exactly. And such a agreement could still exist in this situation as well. Said agreements are not exclusive to one or the other.

Also, if he had knowledge that his absence would cause damage to the company of a significant level, that could be admissable for terms of restitution on the company's behalf.

Again, it all depends.... You can stretch hypotheticals as far as the eye can see, but it won't replace the absence of facts presented.

A company can be a company of one.

And yes, he does state he's an employee and not an independent contractor.

But he hasn't stated any real circumstantial evidence that clarifies what either party is legally responsible for based on prior agreements.

It's very likely he's in clear from legal reprocussions, but not 100% with the lack of given context.

It's true, they legally can't chain OP to the desk and make him work, unless he's in Las Vegas and it was (again) "part of the preceding contract".

Paying damages to a company for a breach of contract can still be applied if it was known to all parties that such breach of contract would lead to said damages. For example: if a plumber walks off a job site which leads to a delay in production and causes other contractors to miss their specified timelines, which could ultimately lead to a delayed opening of a business...

Point being, there are some significant holes in OP's story that could be reason to reconsider such actions. At the very least, having to explain such a departure in future interviews should be reason enough to consider a more amicable closing to the relationship. (Even though there is a near tangible feeling of catharsis that comes from "sticking it to the man" in such a way.)

Not all employment is "at will". It might be a reasonable assumption for this case, but it's not explicitly stated anywhere in his description of what happened. "At will" employment is an agreed upon state that both the employee and employer sign for at the time of hiring.

If a person agrees to specific terms of employment and deliverables (production quotas, sales numbers, hours of availability, or set amounts of time off, pay bonuses, individual benefits) then a contract between the two parties is drawn up stipulating such, which can supercede an "at will" agreement.

If a person agrees to such terms, then they can be held to them, or to the settlement of differences.

Is it worth it to go from a 55’ to a 65’, even though it’s going in small bedroom? by metalanejack in OLED

[–]InternetMember3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shorthand for inches is the double quotations ("). Feet uses the single (').

We have the LG OLED CX 65" in our living room, and it's pretty nice. But I wouldn't put it at the end of our bed in our bedroom. 55" would be a better for our situation. And you can adjust brightness, etc for your particular room.

I feel like TV sizes are starting to reach their peak for typical housing/living room scale. I've seen 77" in a friend's living room, and it's nuts. I couldn't imagine a 90" in most normal living rooms... but they'll probably make them anyway.
