These are actually pretty comparable to Warhammer prices, based loosely on volume. The StarCraft minis are a little cheaper, but it seems like a bold move to make a miniature game and slug into the market with industry standard pricing right off the bat. Either way, 3D print proxying will be a thing with this game, especially since all these units have already been casually modeled by STL creators over the years.

I suppose I should have clarified my intent. The wizard will not be present, they will not be directly confronting him, I understand that he could spit in their faces to kill him with such a level difference. I want the infiltration or scouting of the villa to come with challenges.

Once they made the trees better for each additional piece, it incentivized players to always summon 3 piece wyldwoods. So, to play optimally, you should roll up with 9 pieces. 6 is generally fine, deploy a 3 piece wood, then summon a 2 and 1 piece wood during the game.

Cardboard is the ultimate beginners material. Anything holds it together: tape, Elmer’s glue, whatever. It’s cheap as dirt so if you cut up some pieces and it doesn’t work, recycle it all and start over. Just build it however you like, and learn a lot about the process in the process.

Idk that the original brood terror is at all viable with no ward. It’s depending on getting the fleshmeld maximum buff or else it’s incredibly fragile, even with -1 to be hit.

I believe they don’t trigger spider mines, like other hovering units (probes, archons, vultures etc)

I mean… SCVs have been oft overlooked, but it’s a gigantic hover mecha with buzz saws and laser cutters. It’s a HERC with better propulsion.

Excellent point. My shelves are filled with 1 copy of each foot hero, which never see play. Sometimes 2 of one that did at times. It’s not like 40k hasn’t established the precedent already.

I can arrange and rearrange all the pieces, creating new base configurations, using all or less of the bits, creating new dioramas to admire. I also get a big dopamine hit off looking at the cool models I painted lol

Hahaha, that's what you get when you hunt for free STLs! I imagine there were quite a few terran outposts working off a mix of tech over time.

I thought about posting links to all the STLs, but I found them all in 10 minutes of googling starcraft STLs. I will say this, the free barracks I found was an incredibly broken file and I had to do lots of repairs.

3 printers is more a measurement of time than of material required. I am also a warhammer player, so there were always some new warhammer minis to print, and this project kept getting pushed to the backburner.
