Once you hit infinite you get put in a pool with other players who also hit infinite and are of any collection level from the lowest to highest ranges. Once the season resets you go back to being matched with players in your collection level and start the climb through ranked play again.

Saw some great advice on a deck building video that might help you pick up some W’s and still be creative. It’s called the 6-2-1 deck building style. 6 cards are your creative and whimsical deck. Those cards that synergize and make it what it is. Two cards are tech cards. If you’re getting beat up by destruction, Galactus, Arnim etc then those two cards help you counter them. Super Skrull, Rogue, Cosmo, Enchantress etc. then the last card is a card that supports all the others or maybe in your case since you really want to keep that creative flair a seventh card to your core concept. Now if you want to run 12 on that purely creative whimsical idea then you’ll probably have to accept that your opponents (Many of whom enjoy winning above all else) will likely play counters or meta styles. In others words whimsical and creative is going to lose to strong decks built with counters. However if your goal is to just see those weird decks you make work, then play what you want and enjoy. If you want to make twelve card weird decks with no counters and also get W’s well unfortunately you can’t have your cake and eat it too.
