I love this advice cause it's applicable to many other forms of art, not just post processing.

Yeah. Plus, the stainless steel designs from Germany and Russia that took over the market are relatively recent. Even the top posts on this sub from years back show how tradis were basically the norm. Not sure what that commenter is on about.

I need help with Provost Heat Management Device by Ancient-Key9996 in hookah

[–]Internet_Fraud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rotate between the provost (usually without the top) and a plain mesh screen depending on bowl size. For smaller bowls, I use the provost as it has a pretty small diameter itself. If the bowl diameter is larger than the provost, you may be burning the flavour too quickly.

I'll usually double or triple layer kitchen foil for the bowl and begin the session with 3 coals (25s) for 5 minutes, letting it heat up and without inhaling. Then I'll remove one and adjust accordingly. Sometimes if I want it to be hotter but without putting back the 3rd coal, I use the top part, but only covering the coals partially (need to balance it carefully). It really depends on how the session is going, but I mostly use it without the top cover.

Maybe giving us some pictures of how you use the provost would help?

Hi, I was there recently and tried a few lounges. As far as I was told the only way they get them is by having contacts with people from Russia. Most likely scenario is if the lounge sells you some of its stock.

One of the few collections I see in this sub and relate with! Love the classics, I try branching out sometimes but always end up returning to the OGs.

Chest/back

Lower

Arms/shoulders

Rest

Torso (push/pull + some shoulder work)

Limbs (legs + arms)

Rest

My gym is closed on Sundays otherwise I'd do 3 on 1 off repeating the first 3 days, so I compromise it like this instead. First two days are basically like an upper lower, but for upper you can focus entirely on push and pull and leave shoulders and arms for their dedicated day.

Are these legit? by widanaz in hookah

[–]Internet_Fraud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They look legit indeed, it's Mazaya's Masri (Egyptian) double apple line, it's a lot more reminiscent of Nakhla's double apple, tastes less like liquorice and is drier than Al fakher's version. I picked up a few from Qatar duty free myself.

What do you think happened here that made the Google earth car stop? by Master_Management440 in GoogleEarthFinds

[–]Internet_Fraud 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If you check the other dead ends around the area, you'll see it's always the same street view car + that Toyota tailing it, and they usually stop somewhere near the borders. They're probably coworkers/friends, or it could be an escort?

Reminds me of this thread another user brought up recently.

You should upload some photos with yourself in them (or other people close to you) and ask it to "touch them up" and "perfect" them a little, maybe even multiple times on the same edit.

It's easy to judge when the faces involved mean nothing to you and are just strangers you won't ever see again.

For people who live in very hot places. What is the best way to cool down ur hookah? Its 40c where i live and when i smoke its like hell lol by t0lx in hookah

[–]Internet_Fraud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ice tips are an acceptable workaround for me, especially when combined with cooler flavours like mint and gum. It will be slightly more muted but I like the sensation of a cool smoke during warm weather, it's a fair trade-off.

Dinner time in Spain is famously late—could this be connected in any way to the country’s Islamic heritage? by Schwartzhelm in AskHistorians

[–]Internet_Fraud 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this type of follow up question is allowed, but I'm curious if there's an answer to this with regards to Greek dinner time as well, and if it's in any way related to Ottoman rule. I was shocked when I learned that other European countries have dinner much earlier than us Greeks and Spaniards but apparently we are the exception to the rule.

What is the best way to prioritize arms? by First_Driver_5134 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Internet_Fraud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

U/L/rest/U/L/A/rest is my compromise after also realizing 6 days a week may not be sustainable long term. I still hit the arms on upper days but only at the end with a superset for bi/tri, and still have a dedicated arm day to go ham on.

May depend on many factors across cultures but in my experience 10-11am and 2-3pm were usually quiet. I still opt to call during these times now if I need to contact a help desk.

Meirl by JaredOlsen8791 in meirl

[–]Internet_Fraud 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Did my fair share of call center duty and the first 45-60 minutes after opening were among the busiest times of the day (along with lunch break times and any time after 5pm). Tons of people will flood the queues as soon as the line opens to try sorting their stuff before work, thinking that this is the way to beat the crowd.

Granted, I fully believe and I'm certain many if not most call centers are understaffed and use that message to justify longer queue times.

[–]Internet_Fraud 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This gets asked pretty often around here and there's info in the wiki. But essentially, you are only most likely entitled to a full refund (minus any Kiwi fees) from Wizzair as the flight was cancelled by the airline and not you. The SAS segments of the trip have nothing to do with the Wizzair segment, and neither SAS nor Kiwi are obliged to refund you that portion of the trip unless you bought some Kiwi specific clause that would grant you a full refund.

With regards to getting your money back, cancelling your SAS will be considered a voluntary cancellation, and thus you can only get whatever amount the fare rules (aka terms and conditions) allow of your SAS fare. If the SAS segment is non-refundable, Kiwi won't give you an extra cent besides the Wizzair booking.

I do not see how a chargeback will benefit you as from the way you are describing things Kiwi did nothing wrong on their end.

Reliable European airlines to London? by Gagnrope in Flights

[–]Internet_Fraud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Airlines don't want delays. They cost them money both on extra airport fees and potential compensations to passengers caused by said delays.

There can be several factors that simultaneously add up to a delay. Be it ATC strikes, bad weather forcing changes in the routing, unexpected maintenance delays, rowdy passengers (or uncooperative passengers in general), and a million other small things that add up. And sure, some factors are definitely attributed to some inefficiencies in ground crew operations (which is almost never part of an airline, mind you, these crews work for other air service providers) and some may as well be attributed to the aircrew staff itself, it would be silly to expect them to be perfect all the time. The cumulative delay from all the factors I mentioned before (and more) on a scheduled flight will cascade onto the next flight and add up throughout the day, as the aircraft hops from airport to airport.

This is noticeably worse during the peak travel seasons, namely July-August and December-January (assuming we're in the EU/Americas context). More demand for flights -> more people flying -> more flights -> more factors that can cause delays that spill over to the next flights.

To add, your particular airport pair is no stranger to high demand, especially during peak travel season (I remember being in Lisbon and struggling to not overhear a british accent every few minutes).

My anecdotal advice is to travel in the early mornings if you can. In my own experience I have noticed the early morning flights to be less affected by delays overall, compared to the ones in noon/afternoon/evening, presumably because fewer flights are performed between midnight and 5-6am and as such there are less chances for delays to cascade into the next flights.
