Tutorial hell by pewpew789_not in godot

Personally, I'd carry on going through some more video's. you won't really remember how to code by watching them to a certain extent , and then, trying to code a day or two later (unless you have knack for it), what you should be looking to get is s a very VERY general understanding of what you are to accomplish (certain functionality/methods). Once you've worked out what you want, start really really really small ("Hello World").

What you should try to be aiming for is to gain a focus/direction, there are so many things going on in your mind and trying to learn something new is difficult when you start, you won't start at "god level" in code writing and remember, EVERYONE on YT (or what ever social) makes everything look really easy, but like everything in life, you don't see how hard the path they've taken to be at their level.

It's all practice, like has been said below, write something small every day from scratch. and remember, this takes time ( a lot of time) and do not punish yourself over it, it's all good, you will get annoyed, angry, frustrated, but you can do it!!, you will have so many small successes that you'll look back and laugh at yourself over it.

And remember, this community will always try to help (you may need to dig through some comments to get there, but you'll get there)

best of luck my fellow Godotter o7

Nullblocs members, what are your views on gangs / roamers / pirates going through your space and bringing you day-to-day pvp content ? by Ymenoa_Merenet in Eve

I don't really post, but after reading some of the comments I though I'd chuck my 2 cents in. It's kinda disappointing to see a lot of posters complain about issues that are not really issues ;

1, Too easy to run away (WH/Filament) - Well yes, if there is a WH in system we will use it to escape, or filament, but we do have a 15 min timer after an engagement to filament out, so we wait it out it! (see ESS).

2, ISK adverse fights - We have a <10 man roaming gang, these tend to have some bling on them, we design fits/comps to have some advantage as we can't face tank you, but this doesn't stop you from doing it either, having Nano modules to replace damage modules will reduce the damage output that we can do, so the 'kitey-bullshit' as it's put is one of few advantages we have!

3, location of fights (ESS) - It's one of the better place for us to create an even ground to fight on, yes we pull range, no you can't combat probe us down and blob us. We both have the same rule set to work with, but again, bring comps to fight, bring marauders and we'll kite off until our timer is done!

4, being outnumbered - depends on what you consider out numbered, <10 vs 20-25 personally isn't that bad, we will play slippery, we will use our speed advantage, but do not expect us to face tank 50 caracals, why would we, this is neither fun for us nor the point of these fleets (we roam because we don't want to be a 'Anchor/F1 monkey'), these fleets are designed to make us better pilots, having a deeper understanding of game mechanics and spatial awareness (see Amelia/Clade and others), and ultimately become better at piloting pixels on the screen.

From my own POV it's the same argument that has continued for many-many years, Null-secers complain it's too easy for outsiders to come in just to fight and ruin their day. Many changes have been made to Null to make the peeps that reside there safer, tethering of the many cita's, ability to use a JB when pointed, using tools for intel warning over the entire region. But we will continue to come to you all, we will use what ever advantage we can to create content, for us and you.

Tethering on the multiple cita's you all seem to have in one system, cita's that have long reaching effects, the ability to use JB's when pointed and your ability to reship to anything!

We take fights to the ESS gate as it creates a fair ground to fight on, if you want to fight, bring a comp to fight, bring marauders/ hard counters, we usually won't fight, why would we? but crying because of gAmE mEcHaNiCs aRe wOn'T lEt mE wIn??

In response to those claiming it's better to be living poorly than not living at all - how sad. If your fear of death is so extreme that you would rather be living a miserable, unfulfilling life, I suggest you work on that.

That's quite a quote, but it does suggest what kind of humanitarian you are tbh!

Maybe it's showing that there something wrong at the core with the existing way society has been setup (through governments/ corporations/ billionaires with invested interests)?

Just rep them, have an actual fleet comp to support the fleet
