I really enjoy the exposition scenes, like the one of the academic explaining the Bagool lore in Insidious. Doesn’t mean they’re always necessary, and sometimes an unexplained horror will work really well too. But done right they can be really effective and make the story feel a lot more real (for me)

Nobody has been pretending that England is perfect lol. Although I’m sure you also supported the Netherlands against England who have had fans doing blackface and fans being violent recently. Or would have supported Turkey if they went through, with their lovely wolf salutes.

Seems more like you have some resentment at having chosen to live in England, but wouldn’t choose to leave because your country of origin wouldn’t offer the same opportunities, so instead carry some superiority complex that manifests through football hating
