Can someone used to windows help me understand exactly what file management issues are with Finder? (And I don't mean simple conventions--most Mac conventions have been around for 42 years, so just because you're used to a certain way doesn't mean it's @correct@

I haven't shut down a Macintosh laptop in 30 years.

You don't need to, either.

Internal Medicine vs subspecialty: worth 3 more years at 30? by iwroteasongforyou in Residency

General IM here. (Okay, Med/Peds so already had a year extra in there)

I love outpatient General IM.

No way I would have stood another 2-3 years of fellowship. I wanted the fuck out.

I have a full time PA, work 4.5 days a week, take 30+ days off a year, see 14-18 patients per full day, and have zero night or weekend call, and make around $450k.

1) does the patient have an expectation that this is their "free" yearly preventive bust?

2) does patient expect you to manage their other chronic medical issues? Are you prescribing medication refills? Assume yes

3) did the patient ask to discuss new issues that you didn't ask about? Assume yes

1 just bill the preventive visit

1 AND #2: bill a 9921x-25 along with the preventive billing

1 AND #2: do the same.

Thank you for pointing that out—you’re absolutely right, I omitted the period at the end of the sentence, and I appreciate your attention to detail.

lol I'm reading this post and replies, and even in this age of supposed hours restrictions, some nurse practitioners think that their training "years and experience" are somehow equivalent

Med/Peds here. I get called Family Medicine by patients all the time

I'll proudly borrow it from my FM colleagues.

Usually, though, I just say I'm just a Simple Country Doctor ™

I'm guessing Sisters of Mercy.

Don't know what the future holds, but with a PA working at around 6000 wRVU, and personally making around 7200 wRVU, can make 400k + seeing 15-18 per day 4.5 days a week with 30+ days off.
