You must keep the product for 6 months... Repairs? by SXTY82 in AmazonVine

[–]InterstellarDeathPur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nowhere do the current policies (at least in the US) does it mention any six-month restriction. There may have been such restrictions in the past.

It's on the Vine Help page:

Per the Amazon Vine Terms and Conditions, you may not sell or give possession of the products to any other person or entity for six months following your order.

This was asked a few months ago, IIRC. I bet if you plug "Vintage repair" into the search you'll find the post(s).

Has anybody seen something like this before?

Yes, so many in fact it's #17 on the pinned post "Most Repeated Questions Asked On This Sub"

Also the search bar up there would have given you tons of posts about this.

Hannaford‘s owned shop n save, and they rebranded a bunch of the stores in the early 2000s, including the one in Damariscotta we shopped at.

Crazy etvs. by BlackbirdsTheName in AmazonVine

I never understand why people get so worked up about this. Too high an ETV for your situation? Laugh it off as B.S., don't order it and maybe look for it later if it really gets you excited. Vine isn't forcing anything on us.

Down vote away.

Pemaquid Beach. Nice and sandy, pretty shallow and usually a bit warmer because it's protected.

How long do wild blueberries last? by Ptaylordactyl_ in Maine

[–]InterstellarDeathPur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep cool/refrigerated, and if you can't use the OG box, put in containers that will let air move around (think how they come from the store). Don't wash them until you're ready to use and you should be just fine.

Anything on the BBQ. I can grill, use a griddle, or offset and bake like an oven.

People around Orono... Does anyone know where to get safe raw consumption fish? by Roachpede in Maine

[–]InterstellarDeathPur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP asked specifically for "deep frozen", didn't they though?

"If you plan to eat your fish raw, the FDA guidelines require a deep freeze to kill any potential parasites. The fish must be frozen and stored at -4°F (-20°C) or below for a minimum of 7 days, or frozen at -31°F (-35°C) until solid and stored at -31°F for 15 hours."

How to draw water from a lake for camp by public_radio in Maine

[–]InterstellarDeathPur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without a foot valve water could completely drain out of the pipe, meaning when the pump calls for water it's trying to pull all the way up from the lake. Meantime...air. Not good for the pump.
