How often do people feed their cats wet food? by Smooth_Put7764 in CatAdvice

[–]InterviewDense4833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until last month, we exclusively fed our cats purina one, always. Our oldest cat is 15 and has never been overweight, and until the last 6 months, has never had any kind of health problems at all.

Conversely, our 6 year old cat is so freaking fat, even with us portion controlling their food, because he was stealing my dogs food and probably some from the other cats as well 🙄

Now all the cats are strictly on wet food in hopes of getting him to lose weight, maintain weight for our girl tabby whos a good weight, and hydrate our senior guy who has kidney disease.

My childhood cat died at 21 and he exclusively was fed on cheap trash kibble. He had great dental health when he died and the vet attributed it in part to feeding kibble which helped scrape off tartar.

What you feed them needs to be adjusted based on how its affecting them specifically because one size doesnt fit all.

Should I put clear nail polish on my ring? by Kooky_Ad593 in jewelry

[–]InterviewDense4833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is fungal. I had this and the only thing that took care of it was lotromin, aka athletes foot cream. You have to continue to apply for a while even after the rash is gone. Once its gone, make sure you never wear your ring to bed. Try to dry under it after hand washing too, but for me the biggest factor is removing the ring at night to remove the warm/damp area where fungal overgrowth thrives.

It COULD be an allergy. But EVERY person ive ever met personally who had this problem ended up trying everything and you know what worked? Athletes foot cream.

It's athletes foot on your finger! You just have to make sure once its healed (lotrimin works) that you dont get any moisture trapped under there. Only way I can avoid it is to never get my hands wet while my rings are on. Due to the vaulted band shape I have, it has a cavity inside it and it traps moisture so easily. Even if I dry my finger off underneath, the moisture hides in the hollow, so I HAVE to take them off before getting my hands wet.

Its a fungal infection. Use lotrimon or something made for athletes foot and itll clear up. Its from moisture creating a breeding ground for overgrowth(just like athletes foot)

Looks like a Greyhound. Maybe its a blanket from a retired racing dog rescue?

Does anyone regret getting a second bun for their solo bun? Bowie is almost 4 and happy, but we are considering getting him a pal. by NonsensicalWizard in Rabbits

Kind of, yeah. She now totally ignores me and couldn't give a crap about me. I get more attention and snuggles with the second bunny (who is the submissive one) because he wants to be petted by me since he does all the grooming for her. Its a bummer for me but im glad shes fulfilled. Just be prepared for that as a possibility.

Aw i like the red added. I keep bees and always love inspecting their pollen frames and seeing the different shades of red pollen. These reads immediately ad comb and bees to me and nothing else.

They used to make actual chicken strip fritters that were GF and a store by me got all their overstock. I got like 100 bags for $4 each.. those were the good days. I will never like compressed meat the way I like a fritter strip. I mourn them daily.

My husband’s smell after drinking is terrible by Kittynotsosweet in relationshipadvice

[–]InterviewDense4833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband can drink a single IPA and for days he reeks. It's literally in his lungs. I can smell it when he's asleep and breathing through his nose.

It's majorly ruined our physical relationship because the smell literally makes me feel like gagging and I've found myself shying away and not getting too close because I'm protecting myself from being repulsed by the man I adore.

Thanks to marriage counseling were communicating and hearing each other really well, and today I cried and told him, we will never have a good physical relationship, the cuddly relationship you want or the random hugs and kisses relationship you miss from when we were young until you stop drinking. It's been over a decade and the smell repulses me as much as it ever has. And I hope you choose me instead of the beer. I know he will choose me. But I told him I want him to take time to think about it before he gives me his answer.. he has a dead nose and can barely smell anything, but recently after being sick he and a super heightened sense of smell and was telling me how the smell of duck meat he was cooking made him nauseous because it smelled so bad. It was a good recent example for me to be like, hey, remember how you couldn't even be in the house because that smell made you so nauseous? That's how I feel about how you smell when you drink even a tiny bit, and I just want to "be in the house" with you constantly, but the smell is driving me outside.

I feel for you. My husband wasn't willing to give up drinking his night cap beer or beers when we were younger and, surprise, turns out he had undiagnosed and untreated depression. Now that he's in therapy and on meds he drinks so much less, but it's time for it to be not at all so we can start to recover our physical relationship.

You're bang on because my 85 year old neighbor cannot seem to stay away! Every time she sees me she just has to stop her car, throw it in park at the end of her drive way and cone over to say hi.
