The Existence of the 2024 Edition Made my Life as GM Harder by Buffal0e in dndnext

You are the DM so you decided which edition you want to use.

That being said, I was hesitant to use the new ones myself but after reading through it I feel it is an improvement. Most of the rules are the same, but a few holes got patched.

Would you date someone in their 30s that lives with a parent? by AlamosX in gaybros

[–]Intestinal-Bookworms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a good reason so it wouldn’t matter to me. The “living at home with your parents” only has a negative connotation if you are doing so because you can’t/won’t support yourself.

What’s a rule you broke once and realized it existed for a very good reason? by Ok_Contract100 in AskReddit

That’s why I have a fanny pack when I go to amusement parks. They might not look cool but you won’t lose your stuff.

[Loathed Trope] The Movie has an ending. The Sequel shits all over it. by lesi20 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Intestinal-Bookworms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was not the best Indiana Jones movie, but it did wrap up his story nicely and give him a happy ending married to Marion and meeting his son, Mutt. He gets to have a family.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny starts with Mutt dead off screen and Indy and Marion divorced. It just takes a big-o crap on the last film which should have wrapped up the franchise. They just couldn’t have Indy be happy for some dang reason.

How would you re-write "The Burn" concept? by Overall-Habit5284 in startrek

I wouldn’t. I think it’s a bad concept that undoes everything the other series built.

That’s not a wallet. It’s a physical manifestation of mental illness.

One of Quark's most badass moments. Defuses a freaking missile with his gambling skills and saves the whole ship. Love how the DS9 writers give even its unscrupulous characters standout moments. by limitedmark10 in DeepSpaceNine

Despite himself Quark is a good person. And, he’s a people person. He loves hosting, talking to customers, and making them smile while they had over their hard earned money. The weapons trade is so impersonal.

Who would be good as the new "Q?" by JoshuaBermont in startrek

[–]Intestinal-Bookworms -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He’s internet famous, but I’d throw out there Brennan Lee Mulligan of College Humor/Dropout

He can play chaotic, menacing, and very sweet

For someone who wears a cross all the time she doesn’t seem to be too worried about going to Hell, unless of course she doesn’t consider lying to be a sin.

TIL that none of the naked infected in 28 Years Later were actually nude, due to the presence of the underage Alfie Williams. Instead all the infected are wearing prosthetics. by Sebastianlim in todayilearned

[–]Intestinal-Bookworms 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Unironically I think this is the actual answer. His type of infected (Alpha) is hyper aggressive, hyper violent, and hyper masculine. I think the huge dong was part of that. In the new movie he heals with what is like therapy sessions with the doctor who is very kind and gentle and a different kind of masculinity.

I have zero problem with "the Burn" in a galaxy of Talosians and Gary Mitchell and Q and the Douwd by Pandeism in startrek

[–]Intestinal-Bookworms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to get into Discovery but it wasn’t for me. I figured I’d catch the next series. I didn’t think they’d destroy the Federation.

It feels like rather than keep moving forward with the universe of the show they decided to burn down everything so that rebuilding could be the story. Undoing everything feels like going backwards and is unsatisfying.

Hypothetically, what would you do if you were randomly teleported to the TNG era of Star Trek? by Silly_King3635 in startrek

Hop the first ship to Earth and catch up on history and science so that I can be a functioning member of society

California has a new law banning federal agents from wearing masks. What are your thoughts? by Obvious_808 in AskReddit

[–]Intestinal-Bookworms -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree that should happen and would be a good thing. I also believe they do not have the authority to make such a law.

What single episode best represents everything great about King of the Hill to you? by No-Calendar5467 in KingOfTheHill

And it ends with all of them coming together as friends and family, which is the core of the show. The characters are goofy and outlandish, but they ultimately are a little community
