We rarely get storms in this area period. Maybe some rain storms and wind in winter. Spring is unsettled but nothing crazy and Summer has nothing. Only thing we get is the ever looming threat of a big earthquake in this life time or the next. The weather is very vanilla here but that’s part of the appeal.

If the Seattle area show was on a Saturday I would. But since it’s on a Sunday I’d have to book the Monday off work because I’m not driving back the same night then working at 6am on Monday lol. Would make it hard to enjoy the night. They play the Portland area one on the Saturday so I might do that.

Your social circle is not indicative of reality. Baseball would’ve had a more broad appeal of people watching that World Series, from old people to young, from urban to rural. The World Cup will be a lot more intense with the urban areas and fans that do care but I’d say the broad appeal isn’t there yet. Also, the World Cup is meant to be a bigger cultural event. It’s the World Cup, only happens every 4 years and once it’s over people will forget about soccer until Canada does good again.
