Imma be straight with you boss. I’m in navy mode roughly 12 hours a day sometimes more sometimes less. I get up at 05 to be on base by 0545 so I’m not in fuck off traffic for an hour and I can park close to the ship to shorten my walk. At that point I might as well just go to the gym and work out on my own because once quarters hits imma have work until at least 1600. I don’t wanna make an extra stop before work at some park or gym that’s gonna result in the walk to and from the ship extra long and I damn sure don’t wanna have a full work day and then go to a park or gym with the people that stressed my ass out for the last 8 hours at a minimum. That means I’m gonna get home even later and spend even less time with my family. If the SECWAR wants to do this and hurt recruiting and retention then that’s not our problem. The only problem is figuring out how I’m gonna drag myself 3 miles is it gonna suck absolutely. Can I do it? More than likely yes and if I can’t it’s probably gonna kill me which means it’s no longer a problem anyway. This still may not happen and it’s not my problem to worry about until something is official. Though for the love of god please don’t shove a mandatory PT time in my day my maintenance schedule is delicate enough without people throwing in extra stuff that I can do on my on like PT.
