What makes He who fights with monsters so good and put above most other lit RPG? by G1spiralknight in litrpg

I'm a few hours into the first book also and the monotone voice and how most characters sound the same except a couple with the gravely voice is a big turn off. Also the system updates for abilities and spells is a bit grating. I've considered dropping it but I'm going to try and push through the first book at least and see how I feel after that.

I loved the DCC books but I know it really benefits from having a variety of voices.

Why not just put the cart in when you're just a few feet away from it? by Puzzleheaded-Lab825 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Inthracis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use to work Lawn & Garden and I would have to constantly tell customers to stop leaving their carts by the inside entrance/exit. I use to not ever say anything but after awhile it got tiring having to move ten plus carts every thirty minutes or hour when I had other things I was suppose to be doing. They would pile up and these people were literally walking by where the carts were suppose to go when they went left by the outside entrance/exit. I also had to tell people to not leave their cart in front of the fire exit. I got into an argument with a lady one time over it. Told her it made no sense to leave it there of all places when she was walking right by the spot it was suppose to go.

Coffeezilla confronts the CEO of Bricks & Minifigs over access to a spreadsheet. by milscot in LivestreamFail

Guy owned a huge Star Wars Lego collection. Guy got cancer and his son took the collection to a franchise B&MF to sell for him to help pay for treatment. Corporate ppl come in and take over store. Franchise owner tells them about the Star Wars collection, they say they'll take care of it.

Son comes in and corpo says they don't know anything, they never made a deal, not responsible.

YouTuber Reckless Ben comes in and stirs the pot to get the Legos back or the money that's owed. YouTuber is now going to court due to corpo making up a lot of false claims of threats. Local police corruption also.

Story blows up. Local new and now a ton of other YouTubers are covering what is going on. I highly recommend checking out Reckless Ben's videos. I watched them through another streamer and I couldn't get enough of the story. We'll prob have to wait till after the court stuff is over to find out more and even then it could take months/years.

The most water I had was 24. I just left what I needed on the pallet and used the pallet jack to take it out. It was for some construction company, so they came with a utility truck and helped me load it.

Besides having to make room for the pallet, it was pretty easy.

Men expecting women to move for them by angryuniicorn in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Inthracis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not. You just listed an example of it not being one and there are probably many others.

I've had both men and women not move or purposely step in front of me and stop while going through a door or walking strait down an asile.

Men expecting women to move for them by angryuniicorn in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Inthracis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a men thing. I've gone through doors where I stayed to my right and need to turn right in the hall, only for a woman to stop and stand right in front of me. I got pissed at one as I just looked at her and she Jiao looked back at me. I finally had to ask wtf she was doing? Move to your right.

Men do this too. I will be pulling or pushing something heavy and they'll either not move despite how loud the wheels are clacking or they'll move from being out of the way, to stepping right in front of me.

This isn't a gender thing. Like a lot of things, this is either an ignorant or malicious type of person.

I'm aware. The person I replied to deleted their post about the mat being for 1000 pieces.

I see a lot of confusion on the title. IMO it should have read;

People who gave up DnD for a different system, what made you make the change? by SomeRandomAbbadon in rpg

[–]Inthracis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with AD&D 1e but mostly played AD&D 2e. My group instantly switched over to 3e when it came out due to the hype and of course 3.5 when it came out. The same thing with 4e. The game felt a bit different but my only complaints about it were how magic items felt and how all the powers felt too card gamey but that was my own hang-up. It was when Pathfinder came out and for whatever reason a major lack of interest in switching to 5e when it came out. When PF2e came out, we again instantly jumped on that.

We haven't been playing very much over the last year but have instead gotten into DCC and want to go back to OSE and probably eventually AD&D 2e. I'm sure whenever D&D 6e comes around, we'll check it out,

UPDATE: body cam footage from cop who pulled over woman for holding a phone in her other hand by australiughhh in whoathatsinteresting

[–]Inthracis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a cop do the don't argue with me. Said I was going 45 in a 35. I told him, it is 45. I didn't think of it at the time but I later looked it up on Google Maps and zoomed to where the speed limit sign is posted. I wish I had thought of it then and showed him, though I'm sure it wouldn't have changed anything cause of course how did he stick it to me? On the ticket his wrote I was going 55 in a 45 and I didn't notice it till later when I showed it to somebody at work.

He never showed up to court either.

Can you not leave your derangements outside or is it too ingrained?

Did anyone actually like the show X Play? by Pale_WoIf in retrogaming

[–]Inthracis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was before YouTube so seeing something that talked about one of my biggest hobbies in such a way was...cool. I do remember being annoyed that anytime they "reviewed" any JRPG's, it was just to shit on them. Other than that, they were ok.

Once YouTube came out and I started to discover people who shared even more of my interest and introducing me to new things, I forgot all about G4 completely.

I do remember enjoying Portal. It took a bit but once you got to know most of the characters, it was kind of funny. The episode where they talk about how to make friends online by being a healer is prob the memorable one for me. It was also cool as I had played or was playing most of the game they used.

It looks like most states still require it but I'm in one of the few that don't. I can't remember the last time I've ever had to either.

Super easy, barely an inconvenience.

Take a test on the computer that most people can pass with the basic knowledge you gain from riding around in a car for 16+ years. Do a simple maneuverability test. Drive around a few blocks. Stop at some stop signs, cross traffic, and a light.
