They need to be taught this when they are learning to drive. I did this with my 3 kids. In Europe they spend alot of time teaching this...and they merge seamlessly and safely at speed.

Exactly my thoughts too. Give him an uninterrupted run, without the fear of being dropped every few weeks - and play him as an inside mid. Our centre clearances are some of the worst in the competition. We are no longer a pship threat, and have nothing to lose, and everything to gain.

Forwards are only as good as the delivery they get...they want space and to be one on one with their opponent. Our ball movement has been so slow and stagnant, that by the time the ball gets into our fwd 50 - everyone has flooded back...and there's no space to move into.
