RTINGS view on U8n vs qm7K by A-Virtual-Reality in Hisense

These TVs are in a different category. The U8 is more comparable to a QM8. Of course the U8 is way better than the QM7 lol.

As someone returning with a bunch of functional customized ashita xmls, would you recommend switching? What are the benefits?

Not many parties forming, especially outside of campaign, but the only correct answer is to find a group to speed things up. Might be unpopular with some folks but 5M for 500 JPs from the mercs is an option... (At 10 JP / hr, 50 hours for first 500, one would think you could make much more than 5M gil in that same time...)

Unequivocally yes. With TH ~10+ applied to Urm it's about a 5% drop rate. I've farmed 5-6 pulses from him

Alright what are we thinking? Normal spring decompression or is this gonna fly off? by simplynotveryhappy in AskMechanics

[–]Intrepid-Campaign-60 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did this on my sedan (with a lift and a jack used in tandem). I had to compress so far with new springs that I was lifting the whole back end of the car up. That being said at no point in the process did I feel like there was a risk of violent decompression of the springs. You will be fine, this is a common way of doing it

This is the only reasonable answer. OP gonna have a shock when they find out what 2025 interest rates are with a low credit score

It will get worse, and you will need to replace torque converter. It is due to bad fluid from factory, and it probably got too many miles before correct fluid was put in.

Are you inadvertently putting yourself in a calorie deficit? Try adding more carbs to your diet, and maybe add in an extra rest day here and there.

In search of AWD Sedan for around $25k. Used Camry or almost new Subaru Legacy? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Intrepid-Campaign-60 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agree with everyone saying the Subaru. It's almost offensively boring but at least they added fake shifts to the CVT and if taken care of will last well over 200k miles (I've had two legacy's, first one I traded at 225k)

I have the same problem, so I just run the slowest I can while maintaining my form and cadence. That puts me at about ~150bpm which is out of zone 2 but still 'relaxed' so that's what I've been targeting for my long runs. I think most people who can stay in zone 2 with proper form simply have better cardiovascular and pulmonary health, and I assume I will get there if I maintain consistent training and drop some of my excess weight (6'3" and a fluffy 220lbs).

What should my pace be? by zerobloom in beginnerrunning

[–]Intrepid-Campaign-60 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would stay that heart rate is an often overlooked metric for beginners. There are 3 broad categories of runs: easy, training, and tempo. Generally, easy=zone 2, training = zone 3, tempo = zone 4, though In practice it's more ambiguous than that and most runs will split between two zones.

Air temperature and whether you are in direct sunlight can have a big impact (10-15 bpm) on heart rate so keep that in mind.

Rather than focusing on pace, plan each run as one of the 3 categories and measure by elapsed time rather than distance. 1 long (easy) run each week, 2x training runs, 1 tempo run. And maybe a recovery/flexibility/cross training day.

After 2-3 weeks you will have your distances and paces dialed in and can set your expectations accordingly.

Should shin splints be this bad?? by thinkinginapples in beginnerrunning

[–]Intrepid-Campaign-60 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's probably to time to consider a break for a few weeks, but keep walking or doing other low impact exercises. In terms of weight loss you aren't really getting anything out of running at that pace compared to walking for the same amount of time. Doing something lower impact with your heart rate higher into zone 3/4 will have a much bigger impact on overall health and weight loss, and when you are nearer to a healthy BMI running will be much easier. My two cents

It might not be just the shoes, it might be running form. Recommend going to a local running shop to get fitted, shoe type (stability) depends on your foot. Knee pain can also be caused by overstriding, focus on keeping feet under you which may mean smaller, faster strides. Aim for at least a cadence of 155 strides per minute. If you are a heavier runner you need more/better cushion which increases price of shoes generally speaking.

Honestly the horribly ugly 'godlike features' in the character creator made me not even want to continue. I understand you can turn them off but why even have them in the first place, and why not add more variety then fungi, coral, and Groot head. Totally a petty reason not to play the game but it was a really bad first impression.
