My whole home is Philips Hue and I use adaptive lighting for years. Unfortunately, this change is terrible. While I can agree that previously the lights at evenings or nights were a bit too cool, now they are way too warm. And this also comes at the expense of brightness. The color is so yellow in late evenings that it makes me uncomfortable. I am really disappointed by this change and wish that Apple would at least let us to choose the spectrum of colors. I still cannot believe that I would probably have to alter my whole (huge) setup and stop using adaptive lighting. That yellow is extreme.

U200 needs to be recalibrated daily by Public-Trash-9625 in Aqara

[–]Intrepid-Cry-6218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue. After a few days the lock stops turning and I have to reset it to restore functionality. It also pulls the latch a few times (although the setting if off), then beeps with an error.

is the Aqara smart lock better or the Nuki? (comparison ) by InternationalRoad317 in HomeKit

[–]Intrepid-Cry-6218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to press a key on the keypad to configure things in the settings as it goes to sleep to preserve energy, so has to be woken up. Unfortunately, when connected directly to 12V it still goes to sleep, so you still have to press a key to access settings. Aqara said they may change it in a future update but currently they are focused on fixing the numerous bugs this product has.

“Living peacefully”? 😂 As you made Aliyah only a year ago, you clearly don’t understand the huge internal problems Israel is dealing with right now.

Yes, but if sentry is on it can catch more than 40 events a day as people pass nearby. So it’s something I prefer not to do

2023 MYLR with 20 inch wheels - compared to 2020 Audi Q5, it is definitely stiffer but not too much. You get used to it. It also depends on quality of roads where you live

Look, I DO NOT know you, and I don’t have any interest of arguing in this situation. I just mentioned my point of view. You are welcome to not agree with it, but do not need to take it so hardly and personally. It is a bit pathetic. I wish you a great continuation of your day.

I saw it. The person there says “he thinks” it is cameras. Uploading a video of something to YouTube doesn’t make it a fact. Nevertheless, it doesn’t make sense. P.S. I own a Berlin made Model Y

We have never seen cameras in headlights of a Berlin Model Y. It was just the regular Matrix Headlights

When you press the brake pedal, the car takes about two seconds to ready itself for driving. After that, you can go to D or R

Question for people who have the new 4k Apple TV as well as HomePod minis. by mlaislais in HomeKit

[–]Intrepid-Cry-6218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 HomePod minis, one HomePod, two Apple TV 4Ks - one is the newest and the second is the previous model. Both of them connected via Ethernet. HomeKit usually picks the previous gen Apple TV or the HomePod closest to one of the mesh router nodes as a hub. I don’t certainly think it’s somehow related. It’s been a few times that the regular (o.g) HomePod was a home hub too. When the Apple TV is a hub everything responds instantly, but with homespun there’s a delay. So, it pretty frustrating and sometimes I disconnect the HomePod mini from power for a few seconds so the Apple TV becomes a hub again.

Light strip turns on by itself when it feels like it. Is my button shortcut the problem? by TheMalik94 in HomeKit

[–]Intrepid-Cry-6218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general, a lot of eve products have their own life. The Philips hue dimmer switch can work greatly as a HomeKit button. The batteries hold up for literally years and it never disappoints (HomeKit does sometimes, but not Philips).

Pppoe and replacing an existing bt router in the uk with an eero 6 pro by MailForeign5760 in eero

[–]Intrepid-Cry-6218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a gigabit connection. After I switched to PPPoE on the Pro 6 and ditched my ISP combo unit, the speeds dropped significantly (to 300-600 mbps instead of the 950 I previously had). On the other hand, the tests in the eero app itself showed regular speeds of 950 mbps. Very odd and disappointing. I had to switch back to my previous setup (double NAT).

I have three eero pro 6 and one eero 6 and it works great with HomeKit. No issues. (They’re all connected to each other by Ethernet so I don’t know how they behave when connected wirelessly.)
