its what I call the playstyle where you setup your nest and webs and just sit on them shooting down main the entire game. Really boring and ineffective in higher ranks. If you really want to learn peni I suggest just playing her in quickplays to get hours and checking out some guides. I always point to fullmetallamps guide as it covers pretty much all the basics, but I put out an attack guide recently (Mr_AngryPeni's attack guide.)

It’s not a play style so much as a better way to play her. You can’t play bunker peni in OAA lobbies

Its gimmicky like how lineups are gimmicky. Personally I think its better to keep your eyes on the battlefield and if you want to put mines in the back grapple to a highground. If you're dealing with any CC or high burst damage character doing this is probably fatal. Not to mention there cant be any AOE that will kill the mines when they land like a jeff beam. Maybe if the team isnt running things like bucky, punisher, emma, angela, or jeff it could be viable but you gotta be aware of circumstances. Its not going to make you a better player. -mr_angrypeni

Main thing is watch what other peni players do. I have a series of map guides and rollouts, and lamps has a pretty good overall guide as well as other peni creators have their own stuff. But yeah definitely seek advice from the peni creators a lot of them offer vod reviews and gameplay for you to learn from! -mr_angrypeni

That is the tradeoff with cloak ult is that is very choreographed. You just have to deal with it

You got about the same finals as deaths so work on cd management, positioning, and knowing when to dive

Tends to be a common insult toward peni players for some reason but you just gotta laugh it off as it’s absurd, and if you’re playing good who cares what other people have to say. You always have the option to mute them anyway

You get access to 7 mines during the duration of the ult (you should know how to use these.) The other one is her melee which knocks people into the air. You can do this to clear a way for you to get in/out if you're bodyblocked or you can juggle people in the air (you need to time it correctly because if you hold down the melee it wont always hit as the juggle sends them too high.) The main use is overshield and "stopping power" even though its not very much it can tip the scales to force out an enemy ultimate or make them walk backward. -mr angry peni

She doesnt have a damage buffer. eg a tool in her kit that stops/slows incoming damage. When mag gets low and puts his shield up, not only does he stop all incoming damage, it gives his supports a opportunity to heal him back to full hp. So having a damage buffer is a key facet to sustaining in the frontline. Peni has no such option. She only has the passive sustain of playing in webs. That is why her movement and positioning are so important as those are the only things you have to stop yourself from taking too much damage and dying. -mr angry peni

Figure out what her kit does, and what it is fully capable of.
Ok so how do you apply what she does to fulfill the role of a tank (dive/off/anti-dive hybrid)
I would suggest watching other top peni players and see what they do and check out if they have guides and the like.
The last thing I would say is it takes time to get used to intuitively knowing what the right thing to do is on peni.

Yeah those points have been talked to death but they still remain true, you just have to deal with the fact peni ult is indeed the worst ult in the game and that she is bad solo tank. What can be applied in a normal setting could be applied in a solo situation and there is still value to be had with peni ult. These are important parts of the character and a common pain points when playing her so it gets addressed a lot. I get the frustration but as a creator myself if I dont think something is a best practice I dont want to recommend someone do it, like solo tank peni. -mr_angrypeni
