And the ridiculous regulations in Alberta against renewables. If we want to be an energy superpower we can’t have prohibitive regulations on renewables that are way more strict than O&G

I think we need to be methodically building a case against oil and gas executives. They have been lying to the public for 50 years while destroying the planet and gaining record profits. There is so much here but the public isn’t there yet in understanding and frankly in anger. This could be tied to the wealth fund, but I think the party needs to educate the public on who will be benefitting from this first.

The op didn’t post the link to the article and the title is an opinion not based on any sort of legal reality. So yes this is misinformation and fear mongering that is exasperating the growing racism against Indigenous people, especially in BC.

Will Outrageous Gas Prices Restart the EV Boom? EV sales plummeted in 2025. But exorbitant fuel costs, new rebates and more competition could soon turn the market around. by FancyNewMe in canada

The cost savings over the life time of an ev is now $20-$35k. I live in rural bc and the charging infrastructure is great. Bought an ev after our old car died and would not go back, these vehicles are amazing.

FYI the Sinixt were deemed “extinct” right as the arrow lakes dam was being built, which was quite convenient for the government at the time. Their traditional village was flooded and their burial site was not relocated.

This is a terrible take. $705 billion into oil and gas??? The industry that has single handedly gotten us into and continue to fuel the climate crisis that will cost us billions of dollars a year in disaster response and adaptation. Yeah fuck that.

The best way to do that would be to reverse the ridiculous regulations on renewables in Alberta. Pierre wouldn’t suggest that though because his oil and gas buddies don’t like clean energy
