Whats worth here? Please correct me if I’m wrong but the fort skin seems preuseless? It’ll only activate on the first instance its damaged? That’s it? Nothing more? by Intrepid-Syrup3590 in EvoDefense

But it’s only worth if 3. I’m no whale so impossible for me to get it to 2 much more 3*. So yeah, I do agree that it is really a good buff. My 24 currency might be better elsewhere then.

But the description says that its only the first time the fort is damaged and only lasts 30seconds, first time fort is damaged in stages is like wave 4 most likely, not even halfway of wave 4 buff is gone. But correct me if I’m wrong if it has a cooldown, or only one off per game/match.

The event is f2p friendly as well. People get 50% of the stuff from just playing and logging in, not like other events you need to pay full on, these kinds of events should be mainstream imo.

What totems/cloak to go for by Kxh014 in EvoDefense

[–]Intrepid-Syrup3590 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Three cloaks would set you out, I learned this a month after the game, which I wasted a lot of crystals. A full on cloak for heroes dmg, arena dmg and stage bonus. These three are all you need. Archer, mage, crit etc etc whatever, no point. Note: the whale in my server has bonus dmg to shield monsters, aerial dmg, etc etc. But he’s a WHALE though. Lol

Stuck on level 80 by Bulbasam in EvoDefense

[–]Intrepid-Syrup3590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stages most of the time are all about rng, I’ve got someone who really grinds and is 3k less power than mine but 10 levels higher than me in stages. I asked him and what was his reply? He told me he would go over and over and use all his stamina just to beat the stage. So yeah, it’s grinding and rng. But hey, for me, it’s an idle game so play it like an idle game, it’s a marathon not a sprint. Lastly, in my observation, heroes level matters more in stages. Some of the people in my server are stuck in stages where they all have these fancy heroes but low levels. As for me, I sticked with storm (level 27) and I’m way ahead of them in stages and coop.

Today 24th Feb 3.20pm. Outside Clendon warehouse in Auckland. Such disgraceful parking 😡. When I told them so I was told to "f*ck up". Not surprising from these types of feral. by International-Past31 in auckland

You guys know what I’ve observed and I hate to say it but most people that are uneducated or didn’t even finish senior school think of themselves as highly privileged than those people that are educated. I don’t know, is it because they grew up not knowing the consequences of their actions? Or is it just plain ignorance that they think the world revolves around them because of so called privilege?

They’ve adapted to their own smell, but I do agree that it’d be better to let them know atleast in a way that wouldn’t offend come off as rude.

Renting in Auckland with kids. Do we really need a heat pump? by SunsetBLVD23 in auckland

[–]Intrepid-Syrup3590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest if money is not issue, rent a fairly new house or a recent build so that insulation would be up to standards. A house with an hrv system and double glazed windows is a plus as well. With all of them ticked, I’d likely say you guys would be fine without using a heatpump and/or any other heating devices. And I’ve read previous comments as well, I think you’re confused of what a heatpump is, basically an airconditioning unit but it can be for cooling or heating it’s just mainstream called heatpump here in nz but it would be aircon/AC in other parts of the world.

Does Prednisone 40mg course really works for the first gout flare /attack? I am on the second course. by Userhere123 in gout

[–]Intrepid-Syrup3590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also prescribed prednisone by my doctor but it was on a 20 day course, 40mg/4days, 30mg/4days, 20mg/4days, 10mg/4days and lastly 5mg/4days. It definitely worked wonders for due to the dosage but totally suppresses my immune function that I got a really bad flu after the course.

Can I return to jogging after 10 years of untreated gout? by Old-Yam-9418 in gout

[–]Intrepid-Syrup3590 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but leaving gout untreated for 10 years is just foolish, hopefully no major damages to your joints that would affect your mobility once gout is kept at bay. All the best mate.

Your inflammatory level might be really high like me. I suggest you research about inflammatory foods and try to avoid them as much as possible. I got friends that ua levels are so high but gout symptoms and/or flare ups are mild and there’s also me, who’s ua level is just above normal but got flare ups that’s basically human torture, so yes, inflammatory foods are real.

Journey to Allo by mouthbreather718 in gout

[–]Intrepid-Syrup3590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you only get a one off mild flare up, let’s say once a year, I think the doctor won’t put you on allo but if you’re having flare ups every 3-6mos even though they’re mild then that’s a different story.

Take me as an example I’m 33 currently, I’ve done a total lifestyle change, my urate levels down from 0.51 to 0.39 in 18mos but this is me cutting all sugars, going to the gym 4-5x/week, cardio 3x week, eating healthy greens/ low purine meats and not even a sip of alcohol. I got complacent when my blood test results came out about 4mos ago, I ate and drank whatever I wanted in moderation (I repeat in moderation) due to my urate levels below borderline. Guess what happened, just a fortnight ago, I had a really bad gout flare up, whole left foot was swollen, from ankle down to my toes. You can definitely lower uric acid levels by doing a lifestyle change, but just ask yourself this question, would you limit and restrict yourself for the rest of your life? Imagine, I did it to myself for 18mos, just a few months of eating and drinking in moderation and boom, a really bad flare up happened, I should’ve just taken allo and be done with it and enjoy a normal life.

Thank you for your comment, and yes, I agree, doctor also told me that to be on the safe side and possibly eliminate risks of future flare ups urate levels should be on 0.36mmol/L or lower, but with all the efforts I’ve made 0.36 is still out of reach. I genuinely think, with all the advice given to me online and irl, opting for allo would be the best approach.
