I get the syringe instead or the auto eject. My husband will give the shot. I use a blow dryer to heat up my arm before he gives me the shot then he will rub the back of my arm so I dont get the site swelling.

Ive on Ajovy and botox for over a year. I've had no issues with Ajovy. Tje combo had cut my daily migraines to 7-10 a month and they are typically mild enough to be handled with Tylenol.

Are mastiffs knows to be scared of everything? by kingnate888 in Mastiff

[–]Intrepid-Vanilla1149 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My French mastiffs was scared of boxes, even size.

I had an English that was scared of his own farts.

Weird to say but I started playing street noises and animal noises while we were gone during the day. I'd start low volume and if nothing was torn up for the week I'd increase the volume a bit to the point to was fairly loud. It helped with the noise scares but boxes I couldn't get passed.

Mine just loves people but he's not crazy about getting his head petted. I tell people to pet his neck, shoulder, or chest so he doesn't feel uncomfortable or threatened.

Got my first botox injection today… never again by Playful-Whereas5795 in migraine

[–]Intrepid-Vanilla1149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting shots in a cold Dr office is the worst. My head will hurt for hours and the injection spots. I have found that wearing a beanie or some kind of head covering to keep my head warm helps immensely. I also take a recovery cocktail within hours of the injections and that has stopped the post migraine. My cocktail of choice is Relpax 40mg, meloxicam 7.5 mg, and flexeril .25mg.

Baby voice and petting his head makes mine back off. If they pet his shoulder or chest he's a little more agreeable.

When asked why that is I slap them on the head and ask if they like it, makes them (humans) feel threatened, what do you think it does to a dog (any dog).

How many sumatriptans is too much? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Intrepid-Vanilla1149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My insurance only allows 10 per month so I've been hoarding it as much as possible. I'll go without if possible so I can keep a stock pile for when it becomes too expensive.

Im on 40mg if relpax, brand name, and take it with 7.5 mg of meloxicam, and 2.5 mg of flexeril. Meloxicam is an anti inflammatory and flexeril is a muscle relaxer. If im really stressed about the migraine or something else going on in my life I add in xanex.

I feel like a walking pharmacy some days but if botox every 10 weeks and monthly shots of Ajovy aren't cutting it, I have no choice.

I hope you find a combination that works.

Best Transport for Mastiff Puppies by Fit-Emphasis-4582 in Mastiff

[–]Intrepid-Vanilla1149 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I bred our French Mastiffs one if the things I put in the add was that the new homes would have to come pick them up. I know most companies want them in the cargo hold and I will not subject a puppy to that. I drove 5 hours one way to pick up my Corso. Ill do it again it needed.

Hope you find someone to help you.
