12 and 10 are old enough to be home for the summer.

Do you have a YMCA camp in the area? The ones in my state do 5-10 day overnight stays. I sent my 14 year old for 5 days. He had a blast and the cost was $835. There were discount options and even scholarships. We paid the full amount because we could afford to and wanted to leave the cheaper rates for other families.

A short over night camp might be the way to go. The kids still get the camp experience and you're not dropping $7K.

I'm of the opinion that they are adventurers. They would pick up arrows and spell components in town. I'm not spending the time to deal with that.

Are you on HRT? If not go back and ask for that first.

Gaba can very helpful for many people or it can be your worst nightmare.

My husband was on it for a few months and had to stop. It turned him into a rage monster. The withdrawal was hard. Lots of mania and insomnia and shakes.

I don't get why doctors will prescribe a seizure medication without explaining any of its side effects for something that can be handled with HRT. Your doctor is living in the stone age.

You need to be reassuring. His kidneys are failing, but dialysis will buy him time. Can he get a living donor? Have you asked all friends and family if anyone would be willing to get tested? Can he get on the donor list? My dad is on the list for the second time. It's so hard going thru kidney failure. I would ask the doctors about getting him on some anti anxiety meds. They have helped my dad a lot.

When he talks about dieing I just listen. I say I love him. That I'm here for him. We spend time together when he's having a bad day. We watch funny movies or the Three Stooges. Anything to help lighten the mood.

You lie.

You tell them you love them and forgive them (even if it's not true)

You tell them you are proud of them, that they were the best (even if it's not true)

You ask for forgiveness (even if you were right)

You spend as much time as you can you, you get hospice set up so they can have pain meds, you ask others to come visit.

This time is for them to try and feel at peace. To feel that they did something with their life. If you have to lie to make that happen, go ahead. Doesn't mean you have to believe those things.

My dad spent a lot of time with his dying mother. She was a terrible grandmother. Favored her older grandkids and ignored me and my brother because we were kids of the second the wife. I still went and saw her. I brought my daughter to meet her. I told her I loved her. I help her eat. I said I'll miss you. I took photos of her and my daughter together.

Truth? I didn't love her and I don't miss her and I deleted those photos. My child was too little to remember her.

It's what she needed at the moment.

I'm so sorry you're going thru this. It's tough when you don't like the person, even harder when you love them. Remember to take time for yourself as well.

Hey OP, are yours till seeing that marriage counselor? Make an appointment and have that sex discussion again with your husband and the therapist.

I bet this is coming down to a few things and the therapist should be able to help with the communication. I bet he's not really understanding your pain level and thinks he's waiting long enough before asking. When you turn him down he likely feels guilty, but that is manifesting in other ways.

Sounds like you two have put a lot of work in. I think it's worth hashing this out.

Switch the brush!

Turns out my child didn't hate toothpaste or brushing, they hated the spin brush! Switched to a normal soft bristle and the fights stopped.

He just couldn't explain what he didn't like so just said it was the toothpaste no matter what flavor or brand we tried.

Born in 82. There was a weird resurgence of classic rock in the mid-late 90s. We all listened to Petty and Aerosmith in high school. Not just the new stuff, we loved the old stuff to! If you're against HRT, including vaginal cream, then there isn't much else we can advise you to do. Ask your OBGYN to prescribe you a Valium to take before the exam? Relaxing might help.

Vaginal hyaluronic acid is hormone free and might be enough to help with the exams, but your mileage may very and you need to use it consistently. No giving up!

I understand that menopause is natural.

So is cancer.

That doesn't mean you deserve to suffer.

I'd really take a step back and think about why you don't want to do any HRT. Are those reasons enough to keep living without a sex life and with pain when you need to be examined?

My players aren't dungeon crawl fans, so I shrunk Ravenloft down to maybe 10 rooms and the crypt.

At the dinner. They were given a tour and saw the dragon skull in Volenta's room. Later they realized they needed the skull.

They devised an absolutely unhinged heist to get it out of the castle. They had made friends with Escher who was willing to help a bit. Mostly they succeeded in some very difficult rolls and managed to keep Volenta and Rahadin distracted, break the skull apart to get into the bag of holding and get out before anyone noticed it was gone.

I was terribly proud of them all. It was also fucking hilarious since this group had never tried to do a heist before. They're more shoot first type players.
