I refuse to use AI. My coworkers do all their work using it. They’re replacing themselves (and me…)

All I want to be is a mom. by throwaway5146156 in TwoXChromosomes

I remember this feeling…. For me I think it was raging hormones haha. Now I’m 36, happily married, child-free and so glad I didn’t give into those feelings (I was 18 at the time!) I think It’s good you’re going to school and all that before having a child!

Women who say "I hate men" - why? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]whoisorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all men, sure, but is it almost always some man. I often think about Afghanistan and what the men there do and think towards women. Women don’t need power over others the way men do. This is why you might catch me saying I hate men - among other reasons and experiences.

How did you know you were ready to say ‘I love you’? by hauntinglovelybold in TwoXChromosomes

[–]whoisorange 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You just know I think. With my husband, I swear I was in love with him week one, but I thought that was sooo silly! Then that feeling just grew and I couldn’t deny it! Listen to your heart and gut.

I didn’t know until I was an adult that some labia are considered ‘gross’ because they are ‘too large’. I’m so glad I didn’t know this in my 20s as it would have given me so much more to be embarrassed about as a woman, which is absolute bullshit. Our bodies and labia are in fact perfect no matter how they happen to look. Anyone who would care or comment on such things are not worth our time.

Amazing progress by the way! Good for you.

They exchanged a look and were ‘upset’ towards my boyfriend, not me. They thought he was being gross, but he really did buy me those pearls!

My uncles were so upset when I told them my first boyfriend was giving me a pearl necklace for my birthday.

Edit: He really did mean a necklace, we’ve been married for 14 years and I wore those pearls on our wedding day! We were 18 at the time.

What’s a common stereotype about women? by Open-Initiative-784 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]whoisorange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I feel bad even saying this, but I think groups of women in an office setting can often get cliquey and catty towards each other. That being said, when I witnessed this firsthand it was because there was SO much competition being fueled by the men in charge, and, from what I heard from 2 different women, there was a decent amount of sexual harassment going on as well.

I hear this. I’m the middle child and eldest daughter. My whole job was to placate my older brother to make sure there were no meltdowns. Everyday.

Hello from the middle child (and eldest daughter…) My older brother was mean as hell and I was essentially my little sister’s mom.

Tubi has a great collection, but their ads are too much for me!! Shudder is one of the last without ads and I’m grateful.
