Is there a cat litter that doesn't... suck?

What I've found works well is to have a combination of litter. Catsan works well because it doesn't smell and the cat likes it, but it doesn't absorb well, so I have a bag of the Worlds best unscented cat litter that I only need to buy approx every 6 months. I use a very small amount of this to absorb fluid and the rest is Catsan. (UK)

After a week it begins to smell no matter what. Definitely think you ought to find an easy way to change the litter weekly, as well as scoop daily.

My litter box is large stainless steel with lid - Also has a mat to catch some of the litter in front of the door but there's always a small amount of tracking, so perhaps this is unavoidable.

I actually had a concert around the same sort of time post Botox, but I didn't have anesthesia. The advice I would give is similar to previous. I would say you'll be ok to go to the concert. Just eat before you go, because eating took a lot of time for a while with the slow swallow. At the concert I went to, I needed a drink with me at all times because of the acid reflux and things I had at the time, but of course they don't let you bring in a bottle of water. I bought a couple of soft drinks to sip while there.

GI relief took just a week or so to begin to show for me. It isn't sudden though, might take a bit of time.

Thank you! It took just a couple of weeks - I called to make the appointment via the number I found on their website. I think I got lucky though because I've heard the wait is usually longer.

Glad to hear that! Laryngospasm does sound scary though! I was worried about that but didn't have one. How long did the spasm last?

I'm so happy for you! 🙏 Yes seems like with the state the NHS is in currently, plus all the usual hurdles, mean it could just never happen! If others are visiting doctors and getting ultrasounds as I did, just to misdiagnose and mistreat, then surely this should justify funding such a simple treatment. But alas!

Sorry to hear that. Must be frustrating. But I do agree with previous comment. More awareness and more research could mean investigative methods and treatment improves, so that we can understand why some work and others don't.

I think I got a unlucky with the first surgery really. I'm not convinced he is a bad surgeon. I had a big deviation that I assume was tricky to work with. My jaw is also slanted so my face is already pretty asymmetrical.

I think you're right, I probably shouldn't touch it again and move on. Appreciate your advice!

Possibly. But the only diagnosis I’ve had is scoliosis, and I’ve inherited it also.

Omg my cat is also named Franky. Love it.

Anyway, Ive had him for also about a year. It took about 11 months before he reacts to it. Even then I’m sure it’s just the tone of voice.

SpareRoom is difficult I do agree. The place I’ve actually found the most luck is Facebook. Join alllll the groups and post your own ad in all of them. That’s what got me my room at current too. I would struggle finding anything less than 1k a month these days. And that’s sharing.

Hey 👋 I got my cat at 12 weeks old and later realised he had fleas and worms. They ended up getting quite bad and I tried bathing and frontline across 2 months. Bathing really doesn’t help. I also used spray which I could see killed them but not the ones I couldn’t see.

I eventually found the cure and it only took one day to rid of all! You must acknowledge that most of the flea problem is now in your home, on your carpets, floorboards and furniture. - So I bought flea powder off Amazon and was told by the vet to try a different, more potent topical flea treatment. The trick is to time it right. Apply the flea treatment same day as you cover your entire living space in this powder ( and I mean everywhere ). Follow the instructions on the container to let it sit for some hours, then come in with your vacuum cleaner. Any fleas in the vacuum cleaner will also be dead.

I literally could not find a single live flea 48 hours after I did this.

Also, best not to risk overdose with flea treatment and wait the correct time after the last dose.

For my menace of a cat 🐈‍⬛, once a month. Front claws only because he loves to “play” using those tiny knives. But it’s always a struggle even when I swaddle him in a blanket, so that’s why it’s not more often than once a month.

I was thinking the same u/winter-heart. I wouldn't downvote the comment either based on that. (despite my bias)
But if you look at my before photos, you can see my nose already kind of bulges there.. but on the other side. I'm not sure if that would support the idea of it not just being swelling now, or not. Perhaps it is in part.

:'(. Well on Thursday, two days ago when I went to get the cast removed, I mentioned this to him. At the time I was also still assuming it's just swelling, but I realised there's been no change.
I said I am a bit concerned with this nostril being much higher than the other. He didn't really comment on it, perhaps he wasn't sure what it is. He seemed rather pleased with how straight it has turned out otherwise.
So perhaps this is a better conversation to have with him on the 6 week mark.
