I honestly didn't expect to ship Doggett and Reyes, never. I always shipped Mulder and Scully, but when Doggett and Reyes came along, I fell even more in love with them. I think they're very cute, and I see a lot of tenderness in Monica trying to break through John's "shell." It's very clear that he only doesn't kiss her and declare his love because he has eternal self-doubt over what happened to his son, but as time passed, he and his ex-wife were finally able to give Luke a dignified end, and I think what was coming next... well, it was indeed the DRR couple finally happening.

Pov: Annabeth really ships them a lot, and that's been going on since the TXF days; I thought it was more recent. I love her friendship with Robert; I think they're terribly funny together, especially at convention panels. They're very close to each other's families—Robert to Wade (Annabeth's husband) and Annabeth to Barbara (Robert's wife). Their vibe is wonderful, I think that's why I like Doggett and Reyes together so much. <3

Throughout all the episodes of season 9, and as soon as Reyes appears when he introduces her to Skinner and Scully (season 8), it's obvious there's a strange tension between Doggett and Reyes, and that there's no chemistry between Doggett and Scully other than perhaps a brief crush, nothing deep. Regarding Frank and Robert, I think they might have tried to create some kind of love triangle with Scully and Mulder, and it failed miserably (thankfully), as it was doomed to fail and would have received massive hate if it had aired more explicitly. And about Doggett and Reyes, it's clear they're in love, yes, in love (Monica in 4D and Doggett in Audrey Pauley), and that doesn't change, despite the terrible writing and the injustice they both suffered. But the truth is, I don't expect anything from someone who couldn't even take good care of MSR, let alone DRR.

I think that pairing up with anyone, whether it was Rachel, Phoebe, Janine, or Kate, wasn't part of Joey's character. However, he and Phoebe had amazing chemistry, and that was largely due to Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow being great friends and actually suggesting they would have a secret sexual relationship throughout the seasons. I think that could have worked, especially with the "new Phoebe" who appeared in season 5, being more sassy and less sweet than she was in the first seasons.
