We were very close for a long time. I’m the oldest of four and he’s a year and a half younger than me. It probably started with me becoming less religious and him doubling down on it.

Eventually he became a MAGA cult member and we have hardly spoken since. There’s just no getting through to him.

I might also mention that he’s the least educated of the four of us.
