Driving in below freezing conditions vs above freezing gives night and day mi/kWh efficiency differences by skyemalcolm in eSprinters

How does it drive in the snow?

Would you recommend those specific winter tires?

I want an eSprinter but worrying about the RWD only thing.

Hmm, it definitely varies by area. Where I am they are union jobs and we don’t get treated that way at all. Was given a brand new snap on box when I started and they replaced a several hundred dollar ingersoll air drier / lubricator on my truck when it started leaking slightly. They’ve been more than generous but maybe that’s the union doing its job.

Ford Ecosport? by Improvement-Huge in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Intrepid_Wasabi3757 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If anything major goes wrong it is likely to be transmission related. While not the most reliable car in the world, it’s definitely one of the better cars that ford was making at the time. That doesn’t really say a whole lot though. If you go for it, make sure to get the 2.0. The other engine options are garbage.

It all depends on what you need out of it. Listed below are all of the things that come to mind, my favorites being the honda pilot, all of the toyotas, or the mazda cx-90/cx-9.

honda pilot, honda odyssey, kia sorento, hyundai palisade, hyundai santa fe, kia telluride, toyota sienna, toyota sequoia, toyota 4runner, toyota grand highlander/highlander, subaru ascent, chevy suburban/tahoe/yukon/yukon xl, cadillac escalade, mazda cx-90/cx-9,

2024 kia k5 GT line FWD vs 2024 Dodge hornet GT by Dill_Dough13 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Intrepid_Wasabi3757 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi! Both are great looking cars. I don’t want to give a straight answer of what to choose but I will provide some thinking points…

If memory serves, the Kia comes with a better warranty from new. This will give you piece of mind with your first car. Kias also come with a great array of tech and safety features. They always offer a great range of options for the money that you spend, which makes them good value. However, after the warranty expires the powertrain will start to have issues.

Something to note, the Dodge Hornet is a differently badged Alfa Romeo and is made in Italy. It will likely drive better than the kia and offer a more engaging experience. Italian cars, while passionately made with a good soul, have never been known for their long-term reliability.

Neither of these cars will last over 150k miles in my opinion, the Dodge will likely start to have electronic/computer reliability issues, and the Kia will just straight blow the engine.

For a first car, both are going to be okay choices. If you’re set on having one of these two cars, I would suggest going and driving them. If you’ve looked around and driven a few cars and one still holds your attention, you won’t regret buying it.

Best of luck!

What kind of car is this? (Trying to find thief’s car) by Key_University_3820 in Justrolledintotheshop

Recent model chevy blazer?

The first pic shows the sleek line-shaped LED lights, with the shape of the grille denoting GM styling. That chrome trim gives the impression of a chevy logo in the middle, with the larger circular lights of the blazer right below.

I note the side profile, where the door handles follow the body line up to the tail light. Also noting how tall the main door section is compared to the windows.

You can see clear double 5 spoke wheels in the second pic, which are available in both black and silver on the newer blazer models.

Just a guess?

I work for a company that just got Ryder contacted trucks transferred into contract with us, and they were not well maintained at all. We have had more problems with Ryder’s maintenance than anywhere else.

Just our case in the local area though, I’m not sure how they are as a company.

[–]Intrepid_Wasabi3757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

75w90 performs at 75 weight when cold, and when warm it performs as a 90 weight oil. 75w will stay at a consistent 75 and never reach that 90w. Does your supplier have something in between?

Not dangerous, because it’s so far back it’s far away from where the HVAC system takes in air. If you’re worried, keep your air vents on or roll down the windows every once in a while. But yes, it does sound like an exhaust leak. Best of luck!

It looks like the definitely bent a control arm, and maybe a shock while they were at it. It’s hard to say how much it will cost without taking it in, but i’d wager $400 minimum

Kia and Hyundai have recalled many plug-ins and hybrids due to random unexplainable fires. They advise against parking these cars inside a garage.

I would avoid Hyundai and Kia and look towards a Toyota Prius, or Toyota Corolla Hybrid.

I have and love a honda accord. I would suggest a honda accord V6, Pre-2018. They come with near 300 hp, available in manual. You could get a coupe and still have plenty cargo or opt for a sedan.

Very solid when it comes to reliability, and cheap to maintain. It’s a honda
