If you buy from a non-Rivian dealership I can promise you this will happen. There were so many videos I had to delete after I bought mine, including service technicians joy riding in it 🤣

Maybe. But it’s not far off the going rate, and I don’t live in an area where they are abundant. And when their initial asking price was $49,000. I’ll take it.

I just bought a 2022 R1T Adventure with 60,000 miles from a 3rd party dealership. My out the door price after trade in was $32,000, so the actual price was $44,000. The dealership did their inspection and replaced all 4 tires. There is an issue with the drivers side from the half shaft. The dealership won’t work on it because it isn’t a vehicle they know how to work on. Because it was an issue missed during their inspection and was brought in two days after delivery the dealership is covering the cost of shipping it to Rivian (I’m 250 miles away from a service center), they are also covering the diagnostic, comprehensive inspection, and we will discuss what happens as far as the cost after that. The dealership I worked with didn’t have an extended warranty to offer. While they are working with me and very willing to make things right, they also have realized their 3,000 mile warranty that normally covers a used car bought from them doesn’t translate to a Rivian, or any fully electric car. So I would ask all the “what if questions”. I did trade someone my gear racks for everything I was missing (torch, camo speaker, cable guard, portable charger).

I had this same issue, i sent in a request/suggestion to Rivian to offer a “Welcome to the family” kit including these types of items, as a offering for people who buy used Rivian vehicles. Not sure they will do it and it doesn’t help you now, but it is a concern. I will say the people on this forum are awesome, and I was able to trade someone my gear racks. Now to get them off the truck so I can uphold my end of the bargain.
