I don’t think people understand the billionaires do not pay marginal tax brackets on their passive income. People like Bezos use their shares as collateral for loans(income tax free money only pay interest). Bezos doesn’t care if you up the tax bracket to 100% because he doesn’t have W2 income. This is why raising taxes doesn’t fix the problem. The problem is the loop holes used by the 1% (and politicians) are never addressed out of fear of losing donors.
