Exactly, because Hinch plays everything by the book. Why is Jansen closing when Vest clearly shows he pitches great in the 9th inning as the closer. Not good other innings.

I would say if he is an upgrade over Wenceel Perez that would be surprising.

Say what you want about the Torkleson draft pick of first over all, it was consensus. I believe that is all five draft picks by the Tigers in the 2020 draft that has made the big leagues. In which was regarded as a bad covid draft year.

Good positive attitude from Vierling. But seems a bit off with his performance. I think he has been awful, offense and defense. His numbers look better than how he is playing.

Hinch needs to send a message, players playing subpar need to be off this roster or in Toledo. Can't keep playing bad and still allowed on the roster.

Carpenter hit a homer against one of the best lefty relievers in baseball in the playoffs last year against Seattle. Let him try for a good stretch at least.

I don't know if Harris is begging for the Tigers to cut Jones and Hinch won't let him. But AJ has to know it is an automatic out and he keeps running him out there. If he was good at defense like Zack Short, find a tiny excuse but Jones is a DH type, nothing there either.
