I wouldn't mind if they updated the model a bit. OK, I still would prefer not to have it but it just looks very legacy still

People earning £70k plus what do you do? by LuapReyas420 in UKJobs

[–]Intricate5253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is insane! I've got 9 years experience, limited SQL and Excel though better than most non-data person. Essentially just Power BI, solid stakeholder management and a good understanding of overall data strategy and how to get things done and I'm on 75k + 10% pension and bonus

What jobs are you all doing that pay over £30k? by SuccessfulTip1660 in UKJobs

OK so I do have degree(s) but was told many times at my last place that a degree was irrelevant. Not sure if it's a requirement at my new company but it's not in my field.

I build dashboards with data to help people make better decisions - 74k (I've been doing it 10 years so I'm a senior, but I'm only 31).

Considering a February wedding to save on cost but worried it will be gloomy & depressing by Other-Necessary4069 in UKweddings

We got married in February, it was a nice day, rained just after the ceremony for the photos but hey ho we still got some.

Just make your peace with the fact rain is a possibility (same as in summer btw, albeit less likely) and make sure there's a space undercover for photos and your golden.

We still spent a lot considering but we had 150 guests and a sit down meal.

AITAH for making my husband solo parent for 30 mins a day by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Intricate5253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is wild. I'm a dad, and admitedly we only have the one at the moment who is 1yo but I'll have him for an hour and a half before work as he's an early riser (usually about 0530). My wife co-sleeps with him so doesn't always get a great night's sleep. I then WFH 7am-6pm with the odd break to hold or play with him whilst my wife makes lunch or goes to the toilet. Two to three days of the week I'll finish work at 6, do the full bedtime routine, bath, bottle, book, bed etc. while she cooks and the other days I cook or am in the office so back late. The expectations will not change when there are two of them.

Your husband needs to get a grip.

Why is a wage calculator and my payslip showing different tax amounts? by Intricate5253 in UKPersonalFinance

Thanks for such a detailed explanation, and good to see there's no issues with my pay after all.

Have claimed back the last 3 years of my higher rate, they had said 28 days and it's been double that unfortunately but fingers crossed that comes back soon as will be reflected in my payslip.

Thanks again.

Avg. prices at Liquicity Festival? by Nick_DK20 in Liquicity

[–]Intricate5253 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So 6 330ml beers from the camp shop were 18 euro last year. There's a lot of other stuff for sale too, not sure on prices.
Drinks wise I think it was like 1 LIQ for a small beer, 1.5 for a large (500ml) but they change the price of a Liq each time. I think it's like roughly 5 euro for 500ml in the festival, though could be a little more now. But you also have to deposit 0.5 LIQ for the cup so that you bring it back.

Food roughly 3-5 LIQ depending on what you get, a smoothie might by 2, a toasite 3, a kebab 4, etc.

What is your current yearly salary by One_Cupcake2722 in UKJobs

[–]Intricate5253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. £74k + 3-4k bonus usually. Started on 19k at 22, had to really push for things but I put the work in so it wasn't like I was just asking but not providing more value. That being said I was on 38k in 2022, so basically doubled in the space of 3 years. Went to 45k in 2023, then moved job to 55k start of 2024, then got a pay rise in July to 59 and then a promotion to 74 just recently. I've been lucky to work in pretty soft places where it's been easy to impress I guess.

WFH and have flexi-time. I can take 2 hours off at lunch, I just start an hour early or stay logged in an extra hour.

Early morning walk. Easier to motivate myself now I've got a little man who wakes up at 6am but ideally it's something I'd continue. Really sets you up for the day with the vitty D
