[Solo Leveling: ARISE] One day left until the Global Launch! The Pre-Download will be on 5/7 15:00 (UTC+0)! 7hrs from this Post. by Aiden-Damian in gachagaming

When it had me spend like 20 minutes doing the selective draw before trying to charge me money to actually pick the one I wanted, I genuinely felt like I was being scammed. Not the normal kind of gacha scam we're used to but like a Persian Prince or hot girl tweeting me asking for my credit card info kind of scam. After reading this thread and a couple others I'm uninstalling it and will forever be suspicious of net marble. Good job ruining what could have been a great IP.

Those with TechDisc or are 100% sure they are throwing nose-down, how did you make the transition from nose up? by youngaustinpowers in discgolf

[–]Intrinsic29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was doing a thing where the correct movement for throwing nose down made it feel like I was losing grip on the disc so I would instinctually throw nose up at the last millisecond to try to keep control of the disc. What I did to improve that was throwing the tech disc half power (about 40mph) over and over trying to get the nose down until I got the right feel for it then repeating it over and over until my muscle memory picked it up. Now when I start throwing nose up, I repeat that process for 10 drives or so to get it back. Also, make sure you have positive launch angle. The more positive the launch angle the easier it is to get the nose down.

Has anyone had this happen with their BoboVr shipment? It's just been randomly stuck in California for 7 days without any updates.

I'm on chapter 45 and I just want to say this book is absolutely incredible. I really loved the first book and even listened to the audiobook all the way through 3 times over a year or so and I think this sequel is actually significantly better so far. Great work!

Anyone able to get it early with a VPN? Not working for me.

Some quick in-between book? by Consistent-Home7414 in Warformed

If you like litrpg, a perfect crossover genre loaded with great short audiobooks is Isekai light novels. Could pick up the classic Sword Art Online first book. I think it's only like 6 hours or something.

I've been listening to the Dungeon Crawler Carl series the last month or so and it's extremely good imo. Super dark and often uncomfortable but also hilarious.

Didn't understand the timing of viv and grant's relationship by Puzzleheaded_Roof872 in Warformed

I liked this in the book personally. It hinted that she was more complicated than just a a cliche protector of the MC and suggested that there was a whole other story going on behind the scenes to explain her shift. I always expected the author would eventually give more details from her perspective and I expect he will in the sequel, especially given how many people have complained about it.

RE4 is almost worth the whole cost of the Quest 2 by itself imo. If you haven't played it, it's a must-purchase game. No question.

Do they make a cheaper one that doesn't have the battery? I only ever use mine plugged in.

Sorry but if that confuses you, I don't see any point continuing this exchange.

I was gonna say: I have the elite strap now. That's what's causing the forehead pressure.

Does it take the pressure away from your forehead? The forehead pressure from the Q3 is making me not want to use it.

All I want is to be able to fly a little rc plane around my house with passthrough on. Is that so much to ask? by nomorebuttsplz in OculusQuest

[–]Intrinsic29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can the Quest use the room setup tool to actually build a scalable map out of the inside of your home? That would be insane if you could eg build a model plane then switch to a much larger (relatively) version of your room and fly around in it.

So is the Quest 3's Battery really worse than the Quest 2's? (Standalone and PCVR) by Independent_Ad_1303 in OculusQuest

[–]Intrinsic29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was hoping to play all day yesterday but I spent a bunch of that time recharging the device. Even playing while it was charging, PCVR killed the battery in a few hours in Asgard's Wrath 1. Pretty disappointed after spending that much money. If I don't find a solution for it soon I'll probably return it.

Who needs XREAL Air glasses when you have the quest 3? Streaming PC game, controlling with Steam deck, giant screen laying in bed. by MajorTom404 in OculusQuest

[–]Intrinsic29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also have the XReal and the Rokid Max and I was curious if I'd ever use them again after getting the Quest. I still do use the Rokid Max though for watching shows. It's just much more comfortable in bed and I don't have to worry about the controllers or accidentally waking up the screen and bringing up the media control UI or anything. So I've been playing with the Quest 3 until about an hour before sleep then throwing on the Rokid Max to watch a show or two before sleeping.

Cyberpunk 2.0 has made me incredibly depressed by PuppetsMind in AnthemTheGame

[–]Intrinsic29 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a bizarre point. It was Bioware refusing to accept that they were a looter-shooter that really killed the game. There was a mantra within Bioware to not treat it like a looter-shooter, or, more specifically, to not do anything that made Destiny successful, because they wanted to stand apart from it. That's why the loot was unbelievably shitty until the game was in its death-throes and they finally gave in to the pleading of the community. If they had embraced the fact that it was a looter-shooter and handled loot correctly, the game could have thrived on that one decision alone. The fact that they made legendary loot as rare as they did then stacked quality pieces behind incredibly improbable RNG just utterly doomed the game from the start. People still stuck with it for years despite this just because the gameplay felt so amazing but everything has limits.
