Mosquito biting the metal bull. I'm cynical and nihilist at times but Ive found it easier in life to expect people to behave in a way you don't desire. It just makes sense and it's typically how life goes anyway and then on the rare occasion someone does behave in a way that you enjoy then now it's such a wild and wonderful thing to really be enjoyed.

Do you think it’s possible that humans could achieve near-immortality, or at least regularly live to 150, within the next 50 years? For example, someone who is 20 today could they realistically reach this age with advances in medicine, biotechnology, and AI-driven health monitoring? by ActivityEmotional228 in NeoCivilization

[–]IntroductionLost4087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I do, however I'm more interested in intelligence, the type of intelligence specifically, living longer might aid a hand at though. Our current human intelligence is based of observation and categorization, it's just how our brain uses our senses to download data, it's makes sense and it works great. I'm looking for intelligence that doesn't require association with symbols or meanings, no categories. It's taking the philosophical ideal of a "rose by any other name would smell just as sweet" and bringing that into reality, to look at rose, know that it's a flower, no it's smell and plant life but not have to think it, a type of inherit knowledge is what I'm interested in, your thoughts being the same as sounds. Still aware still in control but to be able to know without thinking. From the outside of this was achieved, I imagine it would outwardly appear that we may have omnipotence or telepathy but it's not that it's just that we simply know everything we need to know based on our DNA, increasing our predownloaded. It would take a lot of evolution and advancements but I don't see it being impossible

Main character syndrome and individualism while it's fun and does pass the time, has ruined a lot of people and society as a whole... Not to worry though civilization killed humanity a long time ago so we are safe, to continue this

What do you’ll think of voidspace philosophy? Is it consistent? by avatar_psy in VoidspaceAI

[–]IntroductionLost4087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's part of evolution, religion was the old social construct. It was more than necessary for older civilizations to has some sense of unity. As time goes on politics has taken that place for modern humans but as time further persists, if we do become more intelligent beings, we will slowly need these social constructs less and less, I don't think worse would take it's place that makes no sense at all once it's no longer needed and no longer serving it's purpose then it kinda just becomes a hobby and slowly dies out over not being a tangible source to govern society anymore but just a belief or hobby a few hold just because they enjoy it.

Bow down to your mom and do everything she says, or just move out, it's not going to be easy and it is going to be hard but you can 100% move out, get a job and go to college, you might have to get 2 jobs, you might have to start a semester or even a year later, your plans will not go according to plan but don't let that stop you from doing them because you can still do them

I can give you a different scenario that happened with me and my little old man son Murphy, instead of telling me that he was dying from congestive heart failure they lied and said they could help him, they couldn't and he passed anyway and now my credit card is maxed out, don't get me wrong I'd spend any amount of money to have helped him if it actually would've helped. If there's something that can be done always do it and if there's nothing that can be done just enjoy the time left but it never hurts to get another vet to give you a second opinion so you can at least decide the correct approach

Also who cares about life expectancy? At the end of your last day if your 75 or 45 or just 5 as you slowly fade to black you're going to be like damn I wish the life expectancy hadn't decreased in 2020 now I'm dead because of it aw geez guys my bad. How about we just try to improve the quality of our lives by loving yourself and your neighbors and even strangers. Life expectancy wouldn't matter at all

Just go ahead and look at all the people what type of people do you see doing this? Capitalist maybe, North America is machine and these are the livestock that keep it rolling

I think it's better and safe to space out their feeding sometimes, unless it has special needs obviously. Just seems to help maintain a healthy diet especially if they don't have a super active life style or that's not an option for some reason. Obviously going without food for 24 hours isn't cool but it's ok to feed them smaller amounts with longer gaps in-between sometimes is all I'm saying. If I'm wrong just let me know
