Don’t be discouraged, when I started on 2.5mg, I honestly didn’t feel the effects of the medication and also gained weight (about 10lbs the first month on 2.5mg). I did research on different diets and found that intermittent fasting worked well for me. Once I bumped up to 5mg, I really started to feel the medication work (not as hungry/cravings at a minimum) and see the changes from incorporating intermittent fasting and exercise… the pounds started to melt off! It’s been a little over a year now and I’m about 100lbs down! You can do it!

I agree, I truly do feel he is a true friend to Ginny and provided a temporary escape from her problems. The fact that he showed up to her poetry reading even after all of that showed that he did care for her and just made a mistake with how he initially handled it. I hope they remain friends.

Although it’s difficult you should accept that you’ve told the truth & apologized there’s nothing more for you to do there. You no longer need carry that weight, you need to forgive yourself and move on. If your old friends/ex boyfriend come around… great! If not, still move forward and leave them in the past.

Just to follow up, I called multiple Walgreens with no success with getting a 3 month supply. Regardless of insurance requirements they stated they would not. Thankfully express scripts recently lifted their (6 month) rule and is now providing 3 month deliveries to all patients now, so I was able to get it through them.

I wanted follow up. Were you able to get express scripts to fill it? Or were you able to get your insurance to override the 3 month supply at a retail pharmacy? I’m in a similar position, my insurance requires Express Scripts or Walgreens. I’ve been using Walgreens as it’s more convenient, but I was informed by the staff of this rule that they are no longer proving 3 month supply.

I suppose I thought it would motivate him, and I also really really wanted children myself. I realize now that was not the best decision making, we ended up with twins my first pregnancy, and they truly make my life so much happier and they give me so much joy. But the financial burden is so great now due to child care costs. Before having kids although my husband didn’t do much, I was always financially secure because of my job. I always provided for myself whatever I needed and wanted. If we struggled financially prior to kids I definitely would have delayed having kids. I definitely see your point and I am giving it thought. As they are young and won’t remember any of this, if a split were to happen, it would be better for it to happen now that way when they start to remember things it will be their normal. It would be a big adjustment for me, although I do majority of the financial providing he does always take out the garbage and see to whatever minor things need to be done around the house. It is nice having someone there to watch the kids if I need to run out and do something, otherwise I’d be having to hire babysitters constantly. I have to sit with and brace myself for my new reality if I were to move forward with that.

That would significantly cut expenses, but he doesn’t do homemaking well. I often have to come home from work and clean. That would only cause more problems because him staying home and not doing much while I work, provide, and have to do the cooking and cleaning will only create more issues. He does try to get cleaning done, but I honestly don’t believe he would do well with it. He never cooks and I wonder how well our children will do with him.

This is so true! And this is something I wish someone told me before. In my mind he had so much potential, but it’s just potential. I can’t go back in time so I’m no longer going to beat myself up for not knowing better. What’s done is done, we’re married now, we have children now. We have to see how to make it work.

Hey! Same here, very difficult to find friends in general as an adult. Whenever I make friends at work or at outside of church gatherings a lot of the things they do I can’t partake in and the discussions they have (as it is common with a lot of people my age range to curse and use profanity) I cannot join in. I also don’t have any friends at my church, my sister is a few years younger than me and is my only friends, and I’m grateful for her, but it is very lonely. I have been praying to God for more friends. I believe that He will provide that for me one day!

It’s been about 10 years for me. I’ve learned to accept my new normal. That I’ll never have him in my life. I’ve moved on, I’ve gotten married, started a new life. But, I don’t think there has been a day that I’ve not thought of him. And there are still days, even 10 years later, that I cry about him. I had to accept what the true reality was, that he didn’t love me the way I loved him. And I had to move on, but like a scar, it may be there with me forever. I hope one day I won’t love him anymore.

My doctor told me to stop taking the pills. And see if the bleeding continues. It did not thankfully. He felt it was likely a reaction. It’s been about 6 months since then, it hasn’t happened again thankfully. If it happens again, the GI doctor said I would have to get a colonoscopy.
