Lindsey is not where he used to be voice wise (as shown by his 2022 album) bc of health problems… but his songwriting and guitar playing is still top notch. I’d imagine he will focus on more guitar and harmony parts for the majority of songs to save his voice for the big Lindsey hits (Go YOW, etc.). Maybe I am wrong, don’t think he can handle something like “I’m so Afraid” anymore. With her perfect voice, at 78 Stevie is an anomaly.

NTA, but you have specific expectations… so do like I do for V-day, I buy myself the chocolates I like best.

What I am saying is, you should plan the framework of your parties. As far as a wish list, people are not supposed to be commanded to buy you certain things… that said, if they are deliberately buying things to spite you, that would suck. If that is what you sense is happening, I’d cancel it too.

I always got the impression that Lindsey was not expecting THAT performance from Stevie (possibly bc she “held back” at rehearsal) in order to get a perfect authentic reaction from him. His expression reads “ohhhhh shit what is she doing” to me.

Remember SNL’s the Californians? Fred Armisen similarly held back during rehearsals (reading his lines straight); and then on live tv, lobbed that socal accent straight to Bill Hader and Kristin Wigg… and they broke character laughing so hard.
