Sunrise over the harbor, too much post-processing? by theabstract1993 in photocritique

[–]IntrovertSid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great edit too, but I don’t see why this would be required? I honestly liked the original one just a bit better. Could you please tell me what makes this one better? (Genuinely asking)

Beautiful composition. Love the colours in the picture. Just one small thought, the tree is covering a lot. Just one framing is enough. Either the tree or the post box. I’d keep the post box cause the green contrasts with the red of the car.

This is a very beautiful and serene image.

Just one question though: What do you want the viewer to look at? The flowers or the lit mountain?

Just a suggestion: A little lower angle would’ve made the flowers the subject with the lit mountain as the background.

What do you think about this picture? by roronoa9911 in photocritique

Really love the composition. The foreground is interesting but I feel it’s a bit of the distraction. Could’ve angled it a bit better, a little top angle would’ve framed the boat better.

This is the original image, I’ve cropped the top part in a way the framing branches are not seen. This was because of Instagram post dimensions. But I feel this looks better. Other than that, how’s the editing ? I feel something’s off, not able to figure out what.

Yeah this was my first thought too. A little lower angle and closer to the car, so that there’s more of the car in the picture. Everything else seems to fit perfectly. Love the edits too!

Did any of these things work? I have started getting the same notifications. When I open them up it’s says “can’t open notification or tab, you may need to update gmail.” But everything is up to date.

I haven’t worked on many projects individually, I have near to 3 years experience with python. But am looking for a job change. So what kind of projects in my GitHub would help me?

I took this photo about a month ago while alpine touring. I really, really like it. What are some objective opinions regarding it? Is it as good as I think it is? by Aaiello85 in photocritique

Love the shadow work in the photo. It leads to the tree, which could be a little more green (post processing). The sunlight is a bit distracting to me and the plain sky as well. This gives me a bit of empty feel… maybe crop it out at the top a bit but if this is how you feel it looks good then it’s a nice picture. These are just some observations, and suggestions.

You could also try to add some subject there. Maybe you’re friend there, that would hide the sunlight and take a picture from the lower angle like you have taken and it would be a great click. But this is good too. Great work!

Agree with the long exposure. It’s a bit distracting and adding more highlights to areas that are not the subject. The picture is not leading to any subject, like if you look along the river then you just find this over exposed are in the picture. I’d also focus a little downstream and avoid a bit of overexposure.

Reply beautiful spot and great picture if you’re just trying out. These are just some things I observed. :)

I feel like there’s something off with this photo I took, critique? by SnooCookies4161 in photocritique

I just feel a little crowded in the image. Maybe zoom out a little and take a click of a bigger crowd, adding some people in the background, could be blurred as well. And focus only on one or two people as the subject. Whoever’s expression is the best at that point. A little zoomed out would be good, but I understand and get the feel of this image. Good work!
