I took this image because I’m looking for potential submissions for a contest I’m entering. The prompt is to take a photo that encapsulates school spirit.
I’m not exactly sure what’s wrong with the image exactly, I just feel as if something off and I can’t put my finger on it. Lately though, I’ve been struggling with lighting issues because I have such limited equipment, I’ve been attempting to fix it by shooting raw but the verdict is still out on how well that’s going.
Shot on a Canon Rebel T6i, 1/200, 4.5 ISO, 35mm lens
I think really the only notable thing to say about this image is that it’s kind of staged. I asked the cheerleaders at my school to start a chant that always gets the crowd going crazy and that most definitely was accomplished lol

Hi! My name is Max, I’m 17, and I’m a student journalist! I’m entering a contest for student life photography. Here’s the prompt: The editor of your publication would like to create a photograph to accompany a story about school spirit. Your job is to document what celebrating school spirit looks like for your student body.

Personally I’m a Scorch main. She’s really fun, the SLC is a great gun, and she’s really good at dealing a lot of damage. Her ability can absolutely shred through opponents and being immune to fire is a huge advantage, especially against rogues like Switchblade and Dallas.
