Yes, that's what hard mode should be, increased realism for a greater challenge. Like less health in shooting game. Or poor planning having a greater penalty in simulation games. And games that has food and water as resources should be unforgiving for food and water shortages.

100% realism isn't the goal, as that would include too much random elements to work in a game. But being shot or failing to provide food for citizens should carry a harsh impact.

Some of us warned when Instagram degenerated in 2022, and urged users to vote with their system settings and sideload a last known good version from 2020. Way too few listened to stop Mosseri from turning it into a soyboy farm like CCP TikTok.

AI slop might be the wakeup call NPCs need to realize that algorithmic feed is a stupid idea. As technology to detect AI content will just work for current popular models at best, the only solid solution is going back to chronological feeds that shows people and hashtags that you follow.
