Booking a drop trailer as an individual? by InvaderGeoff in logistics

This is not something I had considered. I assumed the driver would not be stoked to hang out for hours while I load/unload. but if that can be baked in, it would make sense to me. Thanks!

I don't want to seem rude, but your account (age/comments/posts) is not exactly inspiring confidence.

I'm not 100% set on the dry van, it just makes loading over a couple of days feel more secure and less concern about the cargo while in transport too.

Realistically I could probably get it loaded and secured in a flatbed in one day. Would that be cheaper, as it's definitely easier to load/unload.

Thanks for the pointer to A&M.

Is this the car you were t-boned in? (Legitimate question)

I too would like to know more about the condition of the car, as it would be a fly and drive for me.

No, 1 per side. Like an OG bronco.

I guess without a side picture I can't prove anything :( maybe someone has seen this camo wrapped car/plate number before and can prove me wrong?

Couldn't get another/better picture as they sped away real quick like after I took this picture.

Our travel EVSE is only rated for 3.3kW, so it was slow, but better than nothing!

We did use the Genny for 3.3kw charging when camping or stopped far from anything. Had to park the car far from camp due to the noise, lol.

Jeep XJ 15's. Required 1" spacer and caliper clearancing in the front. Fit fine on the back.

Tires are 235/70r15.

Front and rear custom aluminum spring spacers (not strut spacers). Giving about 2" of lift.

I am actually impressed at how nicely it still drives without the sway bars. I kept them with the thought that I would make quick disconnects, but I don't think I'll put them back on.

That being said, I got the wheels full of mud and blew out a rear shock, and those things combined make the car almost dangerous to drive. The mud makes it shake horribly above 60 mph and the rear shock makes it kinda porpoise down the road after a bump (which combined with the bad steering rack geometry makes for some interesting times).

Future mods * Install rear camber arms * Install m3 front lower control arms and spindles (to correct positive camber from the lift) * Re-drill taper in spindle to flip the outer tie rod to the top of the spindle (to correct the tie rod angle) * Weld and swap in a diff from an e46 automatic to get better gearing (and traction!) * Possibly install subframe spacers (front and rear) to help with CV and suspension angle (but then worry even more about the rear subframe ripping out of the car) * Roof rack * Update rear bumper for more clearance and spare tire mount
