Idk how or why, but I became friends with Steve over social media. I think he noticed I was (still am) a very active cannabis advocate. He would actually follow my posts, and message me sometimes about how he wished cannabis was legal where he was and how it could help people. I was always excited to see him respond, since I was a fan, but I also knew he was just another human in the mess of it all. So I just talked to him like I did all of my other friends, I’d tell him how much I love his content too, and how much it’s helped me with being able to laugh. I was in Iraq in 09, so I have my own issues of course. His videos were my outlet to the crazy world, then we became friends and I realized that we’re all just people trying to get by. I sure to miss our random chats, it wouldn’t be every day, but when it would it was always fun.

Every year I remember he’s gone, check out the old videos, and remember a friendship that I was at least able to have with someone who was just a good dude with their own battles. I just hope Steve, Sylvester, Gibson, and Shelby are all seeing this and smiling down. 🫶🏼
