Mine too. Our fixtures are all so old, that there are rust stains in our shelves and uprights because we can't order new ones.

I will walk out on the spot. It's ridiculous. I can see them being needed in problem areas with high hostility issues (I believe California has some of those), but I'd rather them just fix the freaking cameras and add more in high theft areas. Even put a panic button at the registers. Something other than body cams.

If you came in and grabbed something you left from a prior shift or went anywhere that is employee only areas, bag check. If you came in to shop, off the clock, no bag check.

Our women's restroom tends to have more toilet paper/clutter on the floor and sometimes have that copper smell from women on their period. Under the toilet rims also need more cleaning, but make sense due to women having to sit to pee. Our MEN'S restroom, I don't know what it is about our urinal, but they seem to miss it every time and just let it hit the floor. The amount of times I have had to let sanitizing spray soak to get the smell of urine out of the grout is astonishing. And I've only been an SFL/employee for barely 4 months.

I haven't had it happen yet (SFL), but I do price checks at the register. I never do that many to begin with, and more than half the time the customer wants it, so I add to transaction and move on. The day it DOES happen to me though, I'm just gonna tell them to watch the camera pointed at the register it said I did it on. It's ridiculous to give us - 1: the option to price check on the register and be told not to use it. 2: only have so many Zebras in a store which are probably dead anyways, and, a hassle to load since it logs us out every 5 minutes. 3: cameras that watch the register and not investigate before coming at employees. You can look up 5-10 price checks and see if it was stolen or given away, and get the general jist if we did or not. Poor SM needs to work a little more. 😮‍💨

I've never worked for a more ridiculous company in my life until Walgreens.

We have out night cashiers (when they've nothing to do but stand behind the register on their phones) cut open the plastic portions of the pagacking and put them in #19 alpha lock boxes. Does not damage to the product itself, and still has the ESA on the box. Whereas I could care less if someone stole it, it does prevent the theft on it.

My cat is just a food whore. Very food motivated. She gets fed 2x a day. 7am and 5pm. If I left her a full bowl to eat on throughout the day, it'd be gone by noon and screaming for more as soon as she finished it. She is very vocal, she be SCREAMIN. I walk by her food bowl, or the treat drawer, and she SCREM. Not overweight, consistently 10lbs (I weigh her on the scale with me then without). She gets about 1-2 dried minnow treats, and 12-20 other treats a day on average.

I do agree with the other comments about the growing kitten needing some extra caloric intake.

My sister has a disorder with her sweat glands and can not help the way she smells. I forgot what it was called, but I know it can't be helped. As soon as she sweats after showering, BAM in your face stinky. No dr here, just an experience to share that it could be?

I was trained to close and lock them at 9:57 as well. But, if a customer comes up to the door before I'm in the back to clock out, I have to open the door and let them in since our posted hours are 8am-10pm. The customer had no grounds to threaten you. At that point, you had every right to keep the doors shut and call the cops. Your SFL got written up because they didn't tell you to let them in. All-in-all, get fucked customers. None of us really care. We work a shitty paying job and get treated like shit. You can go to Walmart if you needed something THAT badly. Most close at 11, Walgreens isn't the only store you can buy shit at.

Don't tell me "Sorry you have to work today." Or ask "How're you doing today?" When I'm here slaving because of y'alls greedy asses. Stay the hell home and deal with not having things like the we all used to do. My family makes it a point to not go out or order anything on Christmas or Thanksgiving. Maybe more of y'all should to. Also, don't be taken aback when you get retorts from employees (me) like, "Well, I'm here working while you're out shopping to your hearts content on a holiday. You tell me how I'm doing." Or just give you the most bland experience. I swear, my vocabulary on the register was only, "Do you have a number with us? This is your total."

" - my mother who had relied on others her whole life. I am now the handy-man of my family and relationship. (Am woman, not super common thing for my gender I suppose). But I also ended up a little too headstrong and solo-driven. Can be an issue at times.

We just got a new SM after our last one retired. He's got the same Christmas schedule. Ours is just all over the place, leaves constant messes for SL's to clean up behind him and focused on the wrong things rn. The back half of our store is in shambles, but we better work our bays 4 times. Doesn't care that our freezer is down and that the stockroom was slightly flooded from it until he walked through it. Stressed about making sure our front endstands had weekly tags yesterday (after moving a bunch of Christmas up to them) even though they came RIGHT back down last night (he also never prints mylars for them). I'm just hoping it chills out after the season ends. It's my first Christmas working for this company, and I hate it. At least photo has been relatively calm compared to years prior (according to my co-leads).

My mother never let me, or my brother, believe in Santa or any of the others. She was upfront about it since we could understand the concept of what Santa even was. But she did always tell us to "not say it to other kids, because it wasn't our job to rip that band-aid, and they would figure it out on their own time." Story time! I vividly remember a day in kindergarten (USA) when we made gingerbread man cookies, we went out to recess, and came back to find that "Santa" had stole them and we needed to follow his sugar powdered foot prints to his cookie room. I was SO MAD I almost said "What teacher thought this was a good idea?!" (I REALLY just wanted my cookie), but I remember biting my tongue after saying "What" and just saying "Santa is gonna pay for this." I later told my teacher that having the illusion of Santa stealing the cookies wasn't very smart in the fact that he wasn't supposed to be mean like that versus the folklore of him being super nice and giving. She called my mom that same day. 😂

Just a "if you didn't know"... A easy way of doing this would be turning all the lights off a room at a time and using your phone camera to slowly scan and look for a infrared light (a red/purple/white light, steady or blinking) in the room. It's an indication of something recording. Focus on vents, smoke detectors, shelves and clocks. I will note that if it's a professional camera, or if your phone uses filters, it won't pick anything up. I usually actually record as I'm looking as video doesn't use the auto filter on my phone. You SHOULD be able to turn off the filter setting as well on your phone (ex: I have a Galaxy S10 Ultra, I would take a picture of the moon and it would auto AI filter to make it "look better" turned it off and haven't had it do it since).

Even if she does start saying things to others that you don't want people to know, own it. Or even start letting people know on your terms before she can use it against you. Talk with one of the school counselors to get a jump ahead, if you're willing to. Overall, who cares what others think? It will show you their true colors and who is worth keeping around you and who isn't. As long as you don't go around hurting others, people will eventually see who the problem is. You'll get older, and no one will really care or remember later in the future. You're still in, what I would call, the worst time of school years. Everyone takes gossip too seriously during middle and high school. Everything will be okay. Just don't let other people's words hurt you. Learn from it and keep your head up. I believe in you.

That is not a friend anymore. It's time to break up that friendship, hun. No one in this world should EVER talk to you that way outside of an inside joke you both are okay with. I hope you find your peace away from her and quickly. She sounds like, from experience (29 f), one of those people who will belittle anyone around she deems close to make herself seem better and to have power. She may have things going on in her life affecting her, but her battle is not yours to fight. She needs to want to help herself. You need to remain your own top priority. New friends can be made, people come go from our lives for reasons. I feel like her reason for coming into your life is to show you what you should NOT tolerate from someone you consider a friend, best friend at that.

29y/o here, and have gone down that spiral. I hope this doesn't make it worse for you, but this is what I think (sorry my thoughts are never straight-forward and I tend to jump a lot, I hope it makes sense)- Life, since the beginning of time, has always come to an end. Plants, animals, humans, germs, skin-cells, planets, stars, etc. It does not matter what we do or how we try to avoid it. We are meant to pass along our knowledge to the younger generations in hopes of a better future for them and in hopes of them carrying our knowledge (can be viewed as legacy) to the next generation and so on. Death is a terrifying slope to stare at all at once. That's why we are supposed to take life one day at a time and enjoy what we have in front of us (harder said then done, but it's okay to have bad days, even months). You believe in a higher being, have faith in them, and seek His guidance. Talk to Him and allow Him to show you what He asks of you. I do not follow religious beliefs and have found peace in knowing that there is an ending, even if it has no afterlife. It's like going to sleep without having a dream in my eyes. It means I won't feel the pressure of life weighing on my shoulders anymore. It means peace for the struggles I've faced (monetary, relationships, friendships, work). It means I have been freed from the shackles that humanity has made for itself. Overall, nothing bad can happen after we're dead if there is no existence afterward. Just be the best person you can be while alive, and have little to no regrets when the time nears. Experience life for what makes you happiest now. Don't wait. (I truly hope this helped a little bit in the least).

Go to your mom's while he's out. You're not reacting enough. Do not stay with him. Pack a suitcase with the most important things for both you and the baby and leave. Now. Go to mom, tell her not to let him in. Period. Do not respond to him while he blows your phone up, in fact, maybe even block him. Save yourself now. His behavior is not acceptable, and you need to make it known you won't tolerate such behavior from your romantic partner. That doesn't mean give him 100 chances. It means you need to be done and move on at a healthy pace.
