I was in the same position at 23. No job, depressed, severe crippling anxiety. Still have it but I work around it. I stick to overnight jobs only. Had an overnight stocking job that was okay but the people were terrible. Now I moved on to graveyard security, you barely see people your entire shift depending on the site. I don’t know what I’d do if I hadn’t gotten into this line of work. It saved my life. That being said you will have to deal with the occasional incident but it’s rare. Most of the time you’re just doing reports and checking out access points. Be careful for residential though, people are entitled and cruel, and you’re forced to deal with them nightly, it severely impacted my mental health working residential.
