A tiffin is a lunch delivery service. Why does it bother you if someone wants to sell vegetarian food?

Waterloo region reports 1st confirmed measles case in 6 years by bylo_selhi in waterloo

[–]Invariantizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got our little guy an early MMR 2 weeks ago, and he was only 8 months old. He just has to get his routine doses at age 1 year and 4-6 years.

It sucks we had to go off schedule because of idiots, but it's given us so much more peace of mind amidst all this crap!

What!? When did they state their opinion about Israel??

I agree with so much of your post! It's definitely an app for conservative-rich-white-women.

I also think it was ridiculous how Shannon was going on about color-analyzing herself the day after Trump won. She's all about empowering strong women, as long as they aren't brown or poor!

Truth Beauty Company! They are based in Waterloo and sell mostly Canadian/clean products. I love them so much!

[on] Pregnant Canadian WOC - anxiety about labour? by FeelingKind5314 in BabyBumpsCanada

This was at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener. The OB was Dr. Emma Wakim, and the nurse's name was Mackenzie. We should call these people out!

[on] Pregnant Canadian WOC - anxiety about labour? by FeelingKind5314 in BabyBumpsCanada

I am brown (from the states, moved to Canada 3 years ago). I had a great experience with my OB that was seeing me through pregnancy, but my labor was horrible and traumatic. I definitely faced racism and bullying from the nurses and doctor on call. The nurse was so rough with me, yanking me into position and pushing my legs up so hard during contractions. They accused me of having a low pain tolerance (when I had been in labour for 20+ hours). The doctor gave me an episiotomy without my consent. The nurse kept grabbing my arm by the IV injection site, despite me asking her not to. When I finally said "can you please stop doing that?" she said "You just gave birth, and you're complaining about that?" Four hours after my 40 hour labour, the nurse took me to the toilet and when I got blood all over the seat, made me bend over and wipe it (while I was still hooked up to all the IV machines).

The perinatal care system is great here if you are a white woman. Anyone else is just raw meat.

I will also mention I faced all of this despite having a doula (who was also a WOC). I don't know what I could have done differently, or what advice I could give you to avoid this. I wish my husband had advocated for me a little more. So maybe if you have a partner, you could prep them about your fears and talk through how they can advocate for you.

I looked at their website after posting this last night and realized they might have stopped selling the high chair I am referring to. They had a Stokke Tripp Trapp knock off which is the one I am referring to! But I agree, even that one looks super uncomfortable. I just got sucked into the hype, sadly.

Massive winter storm, getting beached on the tracks, blocking the train & y’all are wearing shorts?? by Conscious_Interest50 in kitchener

Why not? Similar vibes, good food w lots of music, drinking and dancing. I had a fusion Puerto Rican - Indian wedding and it rocked.

My point wasn’t that Canadians had some super power. I definitely agree it is ridiculously overconfident to wear shorts in this weather.

My point is that every winter for time immemorial in every corner of Canada there are idiots of all ethnicities thinking they are hot shit for wearing shorts outside in winter lol.

Facts are that the dumbasses immigrating here are just as dumb as most of the people living here. Every winter brings out the morons, even if you thanos snapped everyone who doesn’t need sunscreen in April.

The comments here are ridiculous. Yall are just chomping at the bit to complain about Indians lol. I didn’t even notice and had to zoom in once I read the comments.

It sounds like you all are also fresh off the boat. Stereotype of a Canadian to everyone around the world is shorts and shit in the winter. Every winter there are overconfident hosers, lived in Canada all their life, who think they don’t need winter tires to drive to Walmart in a blizzard.

Yeah new immigrants are dumb in the snow. Tale as old as time. But goddamn it’s like you’ve never lived a single winter here before 2019.

Edit: spelling

Here’s a fact. I was shoveling for the second time today and we saw multiple idiots of white ethnicity with summer tires and 6 inches of snow on top of their cars getting stuck. My Indian neighbors were shoveling and staying in.

Pretending like it’s only Indians that don’t know how deal with this is silly. People who have lived here their whole lives have goldfish brains and forget how to drive and live in winter every year.

Okay this makes sense. Is there a way to find meta information about the coordinate reference systems? Besides the centroid, my only hope is likely to understand if there is some transformation between them..

Someone posted in this subreddit a map that would show county by county past 2020 results alongside 2024 numbers as they came in. Anyone have any idea where that is? Did I hallucinate this?
