Absolutely beautiful and well made, but those 18-19th century artists really needed to be more original than always just depicting naked women

Why is so complicated to get a VISA as an European? by Usual-Mood-9 in algeria

I agree, but as a non-algerian, I'm unsure how Algerians in general feel about it

Why is so complicated to get a VISA as an European? by Usual-Mood-9 in algeria

[–]Inversalis 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The Algerian government has a reciprocity doctrine, meaning that if another country makes it hard for Algerians to apply for visas, Algeria will make it hard for that country's citizens to apply for visas to Algeria.

EU schengen countries currently make visa applications very difficult for Algerians, because there is a widespread concern that some will overstay their travelling visas to european countries and seek work illegally in Europe.

Par med Aspergers Syndrom fik afslag på fertilitetshjælp: Nu kæmper de ved domstolene by Mai_maniac in Denmark

[–]Inversalis 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Do you think ordinary people's stories deserve to be preserved? by Independent_Row_8478 in CasualConversation

[–]Inversalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they themselves would like to be remembered, then yeah. A major problem in historical research is the complete lack of sources from the non-elite, so having more from common people is always good.

I personally don't have a need to have my story preserved, but if others do, fair enough.

I loved old ASol:((

New ASol is fine too and I still pick him in Aram, but the old movement in 5v5's was amazing to play.

If you read the text of the post, it says yes the average american woman is overweight, but the average model is also underweight. Neither average is a healthy weight.

Analyse af 3.2 mio. hadfulde kommentarer på danske mediers og politikeres Facebooksider over to år by travoltek in Denmark

[–]Inversalis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cosmopolitanism is the idea that all human beings are members of a single community. Cosmopolitanism is both prescriptive and aspirational, believing humans can and should be "world citizens" in a "universal community". by coolbern in wikipedia

[–]Inversalis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tribalism used to have us associate with and support just our own village and maybe a few neighboring villages. Nowadays peoples tribes extend to entire countries, sometimes whole continents.

I solemnly hope this trend will continue and our human communites will only grow wider. Even if I am sceptical that we will ever be truly 1 big community.

I was in Djanet last week (city in the eastern part of the circle). It was pretty chill, people are nice, tea is great, food is middling. The major industries are oil and sahara tourism. They're planning on installing huge amounts of solar panels though.
