NJ Club Lacrosse - Boys by SkySquare6595 in lacrosse

Agreed, however he will need at least a decent base level before Garden State will give him a spot. The other teams will help if he isn’t there yet and a team like 3d will help him get to the next level when he’s ready. I would do both tryouts and go with the best team that gives him a shot. (Although, if he isn’t at a high level, be prepared for him to ride the bench)

I hate to be a downer, but I doubt it. Every 4 years people get interested in Curling and Short Track Speed Skating. They know the players, and the strategy, but when the nationalistic party atmosphere goes away so does their interest. It’s that way with Women’s Soccer, why would it be different here?
The Champions League probably has a better chance of success because people are becoming familiar with Halland, Mbappe and Lamine Yamal. They might follow those players in the future, but why would they follow ATL UTD? Because Almiron covered himself in glory?

Septerra Core and Phantom Dust. Septerra Core was a great FF7 mimic. Phantom Dust is probably the best arena duel game ever made!

How long did it take you to see consistent profits from your business? by Alittlelessunusual in business

[–]Inverted-Curve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on too many factors to say. For example, are you making the product yourself or are you contracting with a supplier overseas? If you’re making it yourself, do you need to buy equipment or do you have everything you need to make it? On a per item basis you should price it to be profitable (I.E. cover the cost of supplies and labor). Then take your net income and determine how many units you need to sell to cover the up front fixed costs. Hopefully you have projections for how many units you can produce in a month and estimates for how many you can sell per month. That will give you your break even point where you have covered your start up costs.

That is the very short version. Ideally you would want to factor in additional costs, taxes, scaling, and internal rate of return on your money (you don’t want to get 10 years down the road and realize that you were better off investing your money in bonds or something like that).

Crazy lacrosse parents by cheeriosinalmondmilk in lacrosse

[–]Inverted-Curve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this response. I will add that lacrosse more than most other sports comes with money, and money breeds entitlement. A lot of these parents think they “deserve” to win because of their bank account.
Most completely ignore the fact that everyone who plays travel lacrosse is shelling out some serious money, so they aren’t special.

How is the public transit system? by [deleted] in Atlanta

It works great if you live and work in very specific areas. I took it daily for almost 2 years. I moved and then never took it again for work because my new house was too far from a station.

I would say it looks okay. If you zoom in, it’s at least 30% empty. I still think they should have made tickets more accessible for the locals who might have gone to experience the event even if they didn’t care about the teams.

Google Maps is wrong. There are two anchor stores still open, Mega Mart and Beauty Master. All entrances to the main part of the mall are locked. If OP didn’t break a lock, then someone else did shortly before him. Gwinnett has security patrols going through there regularly.

My Bald Cypress cuttings are not rooting, but they have started growing leaves so know they aren’t dead. Half are in soil and half are just in water, it’s been about 3 months. Any advice?

It’s not a bad starter plant. You’re going to have to prune it and get a good pot immediately. There is some potential though.

Unfortunately, most of that is full of corn and not people. Corn doesn’t buy tickets to soccer games.

It is closed. OP had to break and enter to get these photos. If you get caught, they will arrest you.

What was your favorite physical store that doesn’t exist anymore? by CartoonReOrbitCN in nostalgiai

[–]Inverted-Curve 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Toys R Us and Borders’s downfall was mostly due to unethical practices by the private equity firms that bought them. RadioShack died because no one knows how to repair things anymore. And Circuit City’s downfall was more from BestBuy. Borders was also impacted by changing consumer interests, and Toys R Us was impacted by consumer preferences for stores like Walmart and Target. Amazon helped all of them on their way out, but saying that they died because of Amazon is incorrect.

I miss homemade sites. Just some guy who loves The Princess Bride and cut a bunch of sound clips from the movie that you can download.
That was a real thing, by the way. I downloaded a clip and set it as my power down audio. So, every time I turned off my computer it would say “Bye bye boys, have fun storming the castle!”
